Norway Championship 2019, Magnus Carlsen vs agadmator. Move 39, both players low on time. Carlsen blunders. agadmator: "This is mate in 12, I will give you a couple of seconds to find it." You're right. That photo was great for setting the mood. Butterfly collars. Grainy. Classic display board technology. CCCP. Two titans squaring off. Hard to beat that.
The legendary Mikhail Tal! I love your stories about him and the consequences if his opponent makes mistakes. U know that when Tal plays a "Tal move", he's putting his opponent in some kind of strange trap. Brilliant!!

I wonder if Tal saw that Bc5 move but bet that Petrosian wouldn't find it or if he also missed it. Always something I'm curious about in these situations.
I assume Petrosian was so obsessed with c8 to defend that Bc5 was simply not taken into account. Bc5 is a very strong move as prevents Rc8 and attacks Q
Tal probably gambled a piece for the win here. That's the difference between Tal and a technical player like Kasparov maybe. Tal is hardly considered as sound as Fischer, but is definitely the best Chess artist of all time.. Creating one miniature after the other.
When he'a in the mood, Tal is too much to handle in a blitz game. He even flagged Kasparov 1 month before his death in a blitz game due to how much he complicates the game.
I don't know the picture, but I was just thinking how I haven't seen a Petrosian game in a while. Even better it is against Tal! thanks for the awesome content.
It is unbelieveble. I just had an braingasm. Oh my gott. That was amazing. Thank youu Agadmator. You are absolutely a great nice analyzer and chessknower besides being intelligent-humour-man
Tal was a real genius... I watch every video of Mr. Tal's game repeatedly (nicely represented and analysed by you) and learn something new every time I see those. Thanks. BTW, have you covered up all Fisher-Spassky championship tournament? I didn't find all.
I'm a very novice chess player, and I usually fail to find the right move when you challenge us (or if I guess I don't see exactly why the move works). I think today's may have been simpler but it felt very satisfying to finally see the correct move and why it worked! Thank you agadmator for all your videos -- you have single handedly gotten me into chess over the last year or so! p.s. also I'm not ashamed to admit that I thought the picture of the young boy was bobby fischer (i think maybe there's a similar photo of a simultaneous exhibition by young bobby?)

The quote written above is quite ironic and funny😂

And agadmator analyses blitz games anyway 😂😂
Nice observation Nancy!
