There is an investment rule with SBC's that it can hold shares (so it can technically be a holding company) but 20% or more of the revenue may not come from investments.

Can one apply for SBC at CIPC or is it a normal company that means the revenue requirements?

I have the same question. CIPC only offers pty ltd and non profits from what I have seen
