@@paulkyriakopoulos3444You can certainly criticise many clubs attendances in the A-League but not the Mariners, they averaged nearly 9000 this season for a region of barely 400k sandwiched between much bigger clubs (Newcastle, Sydney, Western Sydney & Macarthur)

Most of their fans have only been there for a year and you can tell that’s the case when you attend a game on the coast + all you can hear are the away supporters.
Truth be told, now they have absolutely no excuse to not have a decent active support, because let’s be real here, it’s currently a joke.
@@bingbongead active Support isnt the be all and end all, there are also tonnes of clubs have pretty poor active Support which should be much better Mariners have pretty consistently averaged about 9,000 per season for many years. If you are going to pick on teams for poor support surely you would be starting with Newcastle, Western Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Macarthur, Melb City or Western United who all have significantly larger population areas to draw from.
As a Bulls Member, this season has been let down for me. However, the Mariners were the the best team since early in the season. What a great game, played at a frantic pace. It was an absolute ripper of a game and a pleasure to watch. Congrats to the Mariners for their fantastic season. With the standard of football played last night maybe our game will grow to new heights.
Sorry to hear it mate. I hope the club can put it behind them and refresh in the next few years. All the clubs have been through tough times at some point. You have just cleared out a few expensive salaries! And you’re not wrong this CC team is a credit to the league and to Australia.

Victory WAS robbed with the 2 penalty claims not looked at closely. With Victory leading 2 or 3x0 it would have been hard for CCM to overcome the deficit.
