The music is so beautiful! And I really like Amelie Dupont as Aurora. She has such a gentle and tender look in her eyes. I' m very fond of this version of the Rose Adagio.

It is called the grand manner and the French are masters of this.

So majestic. One of the most poised and regal Auroras. Perhaps too poised for a 16 year old... Still so delightful to watch. Her bras en couronne

i agree with you to a certain extent, that her aurora is slightly overpolished... but i would argue that, that is a problem all across nureyev productions (don quixote, sleeping beauty, la bayadere...). they tend to be overpolished and slightly artificial (at least in my opinion). and while i would say, that for ''character'' ballets like don quixote, it doesn't really work, it absolutely works for already polished ballets, such as the sleeping beauty, if that makes sense

Innately elegant and classy, very much a princess.

Nureyev produced really difficult productions in his time. It is also, the aesthetic of the Paris Opera, and the French in general. I truly love it. The ballerinas of Aurelie's time were so magical.
