- From Kyoto, Japan, the Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Green Band performing at the 44th Annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Bandfest on Monday, December 30, 2024. This exceptional group will also be performing in the 136th Annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
As in 2011 and 2018, they were the ONLY band to receive a full standing ovation during the two-day festival. Their performance was truly spectacular! A huge THANK YOU to Kyoto Tachibana!

I've been following this band on UA-cam for several years. I never cease to be amazed at their ability to play, march, and dance, all at the same time. Such a fun, uplifting sound. Love to Kyoto Tachibana HS Band from Texas!

I have never been able to hear woodwinds so clearly and balanced with brass. Absolutely beautiful. Was not expecting the song selection but I loved it.
Wow, I felt this time was much more harder and challenging formation movements in the field with intense duration! Still can't believe how they can sustain energy, endurance, and powerful musical sound while running and dancing simultaneously! I commented on one of videos in 2018 version, yet this band is simply phenomenal. Even in 2012 performance was great too for those that didn't watch. I want to thank Rose parade organizations and Pasadena Tournament officials for hosting these great marching band shows; massive appreciation goes to Kyoto Tachibana High School for coming all the way to USA for participating and joining with best performance!
2:28 Thinking about expenditure, it is crazy because the exchange rate was around 157 yen for $1, meaning each individual has to pay way more than the exchange rate back in 2018. Wow, despite financial obstacles, I'm very happy that they were able to visit USA!

Tachibana is EXCITING, ENERGETIC, FUN, NON-STOP, POWERFUL and POSITIVE.

If the Rose Parade is held next year, I sincerely hope that the Kyoto Tachibana High School Band will be invited once again. As many already know, their exceptional performances have not only gained widespread recognition across the United States but have also been deeply loved and cherished by all. Their vibrant music and dynamic performances captivate everyone, inspiring courage and hope to live on.
I truly believe that their energy and spirit will become a powerful force for recovery and revitalization in the Los Angeles area.
Hello, there are other excellent bands that deserve their chance, such as the band invited for 2021 but the Parade was cancelled.
They hope to be invited in 2031 or 2032

Wow!!! Sing Sing Sing was AMAZING Their whole performance was out of this world. I’ve never seen a marching band so precise, and so musically spot on amazing to watch!
Not to take away from this great performance, but there are tons of amazing marching band performances that are world's better than this.
Absolutely amazing, better than most any modern band I've seen of the same age in America. Sticking to the classics like Sing sing sing, with that pleasant new arrangement AND choreography! Amazing, keep it up!!

ついこの間に参加をされたばかりだった筈なのに、また招待されたんですね。
オレンジの悪魔達の活気ある姿を見ていると、凄く励まされます。
実際に、本気で辛かった時は毎日リピートで見てました。
この様に現地に赴いて撮影・編集してUA-camにアップして頂いてる物を見させて頂く事で、元気を貰っておりました。
本当に感謝しています。
同じ様に皆さんの活動に生きる力を貰っている人はたくさんいると思います。

退場時のパレードの後半、メンバー皆でワ～って言って・ダンスしながら・歌いながら、心から楽しそう！現地アメリカの観衆の方々はこんな明るくて、元気で、はじけたパフォーマンスは大好きだと思います。このパフォーマンスを考えたのは橘っ子らしい伝統です！！この独創的な演出が橘マーチングの素晴らしい持ち味・魅力だと思いました。

I'm a big fan of Kyoto tachibana and I watch all their stuff. I must say I have never heard them sounding better. Spectacular. Of course the alumni have joined them. The Young musicians must have worked very very hard to get this new music sounding as great as it does. Amazing. 😎

Their parade marching makes them elite. Interesting that they place their "pit" at the back for field performances. Would definitely do well in the North American high school marching band competitions

Marching a French horn is wild with that small mouthpiece. I don't think most people can realize how insane that is if you haven't played french horn before. Although it does make me wonder why they didn't use mellophones instead
