It feels like this song and this MV is speaking to me on a personal level.
Everyday, I wake up dress like an adult, talk like an adult, walk like an adult but deep inside is a weak, fragile and scared little kid.
I've been living my life inside a little bottle. My comfort zone. I've always thought that life is easy and safe. Just like being inside that bottle with only a little bit of water in it, calm and quiet. I thought life was all smiles.
And then one day reality (octopus) comes crashing down and I wake up to the fact that life is so much bigger and so much tougher. That all along, I was but living in a tiny boat in a vast stormy sea. And just when I thought I'll be fine, I find myself drowning.... going deeper each second.
Then came the dark forest, my fear of the unknown and the lamp which symbolizes my mom who's been the one guiding me through the darkness. However, that lamp wasn't there throughout the rest of my journey through the forest because as painful as it is to accept, my mom is not going to be there to guide me throughout the rest of my life.
The owl symbolizes the people that have abandoned me. The ones who tried to carry me high up in the sky, only to drop me off as soon as everything gets heavy.
The shadows running around are my fears and uncertainties in life. I try to keep running away from it but it's always going to be there to haunt me.
The tent in the forest with a treasure box symbolizes the temporary happiness I come running to whenever I'm sad, scared and lonely. The fake joy which I thought will help me get back up yet pulls me down, letting me fall deeper and deeper.
The dragon symbolizes my weaknesses: My imperfections, my insecurities, my failures. And then the sword; my strengths, the things I'm good at, the little things I've achieved in life. And each day I try so hard to fight that dragon with my sword only to know that gets melted every time by the dragon's fire; My own strengths are always overpowered by my weaknesses and with it, I sink deeper and deeper, feeling alone.
But what I didn't notice is that when I try to look at everything in a different perspective; my challenges in life, all the things I've been through and my even own personal world; it isn't really that big. No matter how far life tries to take me away, in the end, I'll always find myself home to the things that matter.... to the people that matter.

I think these applies to most of us. Which is probably the reason why this song is so amazing, because it's speak to your soul.

Definitely reminds me of Jonah and the whale! God brought Jonah back to the shore through the big fish = the boy was brought back to the shore through the stars.
It is when you're in the dark and at your lowest that you realize that God is always faithful and that He will never let His child suffer; instead, He will continuously pull us back from the deceiving lies and traps of the enemy in this world until we see His light shining for us in the dark.

Coming back here since hearing this from Siargao the movie. Still a masterpiece. I was still in college then and was afraid for my future - not sure if i'd graduate or what and was losing hope. Fast forward to now and i'm now in med school. It does get better 🥹
