Thanks for the video! I once read on the forum that you'd have to take the bumper off which put me off, definitely will get it now! Thanks from the UK.
Just managed to do this, my hands were too big to fit in the gap so I had to do it from the fender liner, took me a few attempts as I didn't want to have to take the wheel off but after I decided to I managed to do it straight away. Thanks for the inspiration
I was going to ask the price, and where to get them, but it looks like you were thinking ahead. Great minor addition to the car. A nice flare, and a nice accent to the amber headlights.
+HughTube I always add the products to the video description, because people ask all the time. Haha Yeah, for the price, it's a great addition. I'm extremely pleased with the result.
I went to do this after watching your video, only to find out I couldn't reach those bulbs with my hand, I was confused. Turns out it is because my 2 has the type B headlights, the projector type ones. The high beam blocks the way so I had to do it by peeling back the mudguards! Type B headlight owners beware 😅
looks great man, your mazda2 is very nicr. I just got my mazda2 and looking to get lowering springs for it. I'm also trying to gain up the courage to remove the orange lenses from the headlights and get the leds, they look good
+Andriks Salvatierra Thanks! I appreciate it! Removing the orange lenses isn't as scary as it seems. You just have to be patient when doing it. It looks so much better without them, so I say investing a day to work on that project is worth it. As far as lowering springs, there are plenty of options out there and installation is fairly easy. Go for it!
Are these error free..looks like it or you would have mentioned it I suppose..I can only get this version in UK Samsung chip T10 501 W5W White 5W LED. I think you're s are 2w in your listing.. not sure about errors though.. what do you think. Keep up the good work your the best Mazda2 for info around.. thanks Info
Hi, nice video! If you wanted to replace the main bulbs with LEDs, would it be possible to do the mod in a similar fashion, and if so, what bulbs should I use? Thanks for all the help
+Julio Medina There are kits to convert the headlight bulbs to LED from companies like Auxbeam, but I haven't found a way to justify the cost yet. Haha The standard headlights are fine for now. Thanks for watching!
+king ferguson The great thing about the Mazda2 is that even though everything is easy to access, they're so reliable that you won't have to replace anything for a long time.
nice, this is something I want to do all around, of course those would be Amber to match the orange cap. was gonna order the set from corksport but $$$$ lol
+jigglerish They're not even close to blinding. You can't see them from a mile away in broad daylight like on most newer cars that have them standard, but they're there. At night, they're perfect. Bright enough to slightly illuminate the road on their own, but not enough that you'd forget to turn on your lights like people with newer cars do. lol
Hey I was just wondering, I've been told that a warning light appears on the dashboard if you change your original sidelights to LED ones. has this happened to you by any chance?
+Saif Khan Not at all. They're the only bulbs I've changed to LED, so I can't give you a definitive answer on any other bulbs when it comes to the Mazda2. However, if you change non-LED bulbs that cycle, such as the turn signal bulbs, you MAY get a warning light if they don't have the proper resistors. They'll function, but the car won't know that and they'll flash like crazy instead of normal. That's what I've seen/heard with other cars, anyway. I don't exactly know how all of that resistor stuff works, but I know that the running lights I've installed have no such issue. Thanks for watching!
Hi there! I just found ur channel and i might watch all of ur mazda 2 videos from now. Please keep it updated! Since we dont have any vlog like urs *i live in indonesia, jakarta city and yess, warm greeting from fellow mazda 2 driver XD i bought the R version secondhanded 2013 which is maybe in ur state is same as touring minus cruise control. And again, thank u very much for deliver the content of mazda 2! Sorry for my bad english >_
+chaosnod No worries on the English! I understand just fine. 👍🏻 I definitely plan on buying more Mazdas in the future, either to replace the 2 or to join it. However, I imagine that I'm going to keep the 2 and enjoy it for many years to come. More videos will be on the way soon. I've been busy lately and sometimes it's just too hot outside to film anything. 😅 Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
I have a question my fuse on my illuminated at the side of the door keep busted every time i put a new one...after i open the park light...ty for the help
What about LED headlights? Is it a matter of buying a LED conversion kit or is a whole new projector headlight assembly required? Nice vid and keep them coming.
Hey man love your videos! Wish you could someday try to replace the dashboard bulbs to LED and make a video. Also, I’ve seen people that installed a light bar on their Mazda 2/Demio lol.
Hey, would you be able to provide some more detail on where the light bulb actually is? From the UK and i seem to have a lot less space for my hands on both sides compared to you but I just cant seem to see where the bulbs/housing for it actually is. I would quite like to change them to LEDs but cant find them aha
I assume your lights are the same design as mine? Literally just reach behind the light and twist the plug out. Follow the wires. There are only three bulbs in the headlight; The big ones (head/high and turn signal) which are easy to see and the small marker lights.
Idk if it’s because i have projector lights but i cannot for the life of me get my hands in between the light and the chassis. Quite annoying to say the least.
Hey, I own mazda 2 2008. Do you know where I can order the whole LED assembly. I would like to make it look like the new 2015 model. If you know what I mean. I've looked it up online and i cant find it anywhere
The 2015 models are completely different from the 2007-14. The lights are made from the factory with LEDs in them, so it’s not like there is a kit out there to make it look the same.
@@HiroshimaSpirit Thanks for the fast reply, do you know where can I order the custom headlight? Because Ive been searching online for days and couldn't find the website that would actually make them
The problem with lights is that they are heavily regulated, so not many places make custom head or tail lights because of how expensive it is to make them legal to sell. I wish I could tell you more, but there just isn’t information out there. The best we have is projector retrofits, for which there is plenty of information online.
no please dont it is a compliment, On to a more serious part you seem to know your way around these cars my Mazda 2 sport there is not enough room to squeeze a hand in there defo would need smaller hands, for the left hand side (drivers side) i would need a small pair of hands my hands just reach in no more, But the right hand side (passenger side) there is no was my hand can fit down there there is a metal part blocking my hand and the fuse box is in the way, iv heard suggestions to go in through the wheel arch coverings, and reach your hand up, mines is a 2010 model
+eyesome pics An unfortunate side effect, yes, but it still looks better than all yellow, I think. There are kits to convert the headlight bulbs to LED, but the bulbs have huge heat sinks on the back and I'm not sure of how much of a hassle they are to make work. Plus, I'd really prefer to install them in a projector housing vs the standard reflector housing. The super bright LED bulbs might end up being just as obnoxious to other drivers as HID bulbs, and nobody likes THAT guy. They light up the road and the LED runners class it up a bit. That's good enough for me at this point. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the reply. I have a 2010 European Mazda 2 Takuya. 1.3 (DE). The headlight housing is slightly different from the standard. In the handbook it's described as type B. It has separate high beam (HB3) and low beam (H7) bulbs set in what looks like a projector assembly with black background where you have reflector. Bulb access is via removing the under arch splash guard. I find it diffcult to find info on Mazda 2 mods in UK and I think all after market LED's are illegal here.
+eyesome pics Feel free to join the Mazda2 Owners Club group on Facebook, if you have an account. There's a lot of knowledge there. Someone there will probably be able to point you in the right direction. The ability to post photos and have long conversations is especially helpful.
I don’t recommend LEDs for the main headlights. They’ll either be a low quality kit with dim bulbs or the bulbs will work fine and blind other drivers because you’d be using them in a reflector housing designed for halogen bulbs. If you insist, the bulb size is H4.
HiroshimaSpirit okay thanks!! Btw I’ve noticed a slight rattling noise coming from under my Mazda. I searched it and other people have the same problem but I can’t seem to find the answer. Does yours do this? Maybe u have an answer! I can’t seem to find it
Thanks, I have the skyactiv model. Change my running light twice already and have trouble upon running my unit. Sometimes the drl blinks and sometimes it turns off permanently when I change to led running light.
@@HiroshimaSpirit Thanks you my friend in Florida I use to work wit Advance Auto but I retired and I now a lot of numbers for the old cars by memory God bless you.
Great recomendatios, I just did it in my Mazda 2 (because of your video) and look awesome.. I have problems with the headlights, I just replaced it with a LED bulb from amazon goo.gl/anXYNj and they look great, but the proyection is not correct. I'm just blinding everybody on the road with the low lights. Any sugestion?
You may need to re-aim the new bulbs, or they may just be too bright for a reflector housing like HID bulbs are. If a re-aim doesn’t fix the problem, you may have to choose a different kind of bulb with less intense light output or retrofit your headlights with projectors.
You could always remove the leading end of the wheel well liners and go in that way, but it’s entirely possible to reach by hand. Unless you have giant hands, I guess. lol

DaedalusZero which LED headlights are you considering? I'm currently thinking about the Auxbeam F-16, what do you think of those for the mazda2?
