The front end in particular, with new radiator grilles and bumpers, expresses the dynamism of the four-door coupé even more strongly. It’s equipped with a 435 hp 6 cylinder inline engine which produces 520Nm of torque SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed sports transmission and all-wheel drive.
Mercedes Benz AMG 2021 CLS53 0-100 km/h (62mph) can be reached in 4.5 seconds!
The top speed VMAX is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155mph)

The 53’s are awesome cars. The inline 6 doesn’t get enough credit for being the amazing engine that it is.
Totally agree, I really love the 53's. Performance-wise the 63's and the V8 is just the best but nowadays with the EU and OPF German specs they don't sound as emotional as back in the days!
I fully agree, I would have been happy if the new c63 would have had this engine, not the 4 pot. Obviously not in the league with the v8 but it at least would have still sounded good

Why not? Bmw has ZF transmissions which are amazing and Audi has the amazing 5 bangers and 4.0 biturbo V8. I am a huge BMW fan but I respect all 3 german big brands.

The gt63s and the gtr are the best sounding v8s in my opinion. They still pop like crazy and are very loud

I just bought an E53 Coupe 2 months ago and i agree. It sounds amazing, Especially when the exhaust is hot. I push the throttle and lift off at around 4k rpm. I get insanely loud bangs(3rd and 4th gear are the best). Even more crazy, 3rd gear to 4.5k rpm, then shift back to second: BAM brutal bangs. Its as the car doesn't even have an OPF. Its the latest 21 FL model from July. Isn't it supposed to have an OPF? Looking at the engine bay it looks like it has one, but the sound suggests it doesnt. :D Putting premium petrol from OMV helps as well i guess.
I have the GT53. The sound is not that loud but at 4k rpm the bangs are pretty loud that's true.
Love the engine tho!

My boss drives a E53 after driving a 2016 audi S6 with the V8, he loves it to death with the sound. I can't agree with him though because I bought an e46 330i again with full eisenmann race exhaust, NA over Turbo anyday and natural pops instead of this ECU programmed stuff

With this video I just wanted to show people how much fun the 53's are. Performance-wise the 63 is just topnotch but the 53's doesn’t get enough credit
Drove it by myself and its amazing. Very much bass in the upshifts and the pops and bangs while downshifting.. and the look of the car truly a little masterpiece. Also a very nice comfortable car for longer trips! Mercedes did a great job with this engine! The power of the vehicle is easily enough for the road.. you'll reach top speed fast enough in this car!

I have the ‘21 E53 sedan. Same engine/chassis. Mine like the one in vid doesn’t have the performance exhaust, just the regular sport exh. Can confirm in right rev range 4-6k does very crisp pops. E63 still the king tho, pops or not.
Also tip for vid, use the rev counter for main circular gauge. Don’t know why you put G meter there when you trying to show revs.
E63 Performance is just the best, not even comparable to the 53's but I am only referring to the EU/German spec OPF sound. Thanks for the tip, totally forgot to show you 👍

I love my CLS 53 AMG... The inline 6 is so smooth. I chose not to install aftermarket exhaust. In Sport mode it is just loud enough not to be obnoxious.
It's funny when we like cars that backfire when there was so much development in the past to avoid it.
I don’t like the pop and bang. Sounds like something is broken. 😅 Or would make you think something *wasn’t* broken if it was. 😅 Definitely prefer speed. Sound isn’t the most important thing to me. I’ll be perfectly happy with 63 sound. 😅
Starkes Video. Ich stehe kurz davor das Pre-Facelift Modell (Mitte 2019) zu holen. Unterscheidet sich der Sound wirklich zwischen Pre-Facelift und Facelift Modell? Ich dachte die verbaute Abgasanlage wäre dieselbe?
As i commented here before. I bought an E53 Coupe in January. Have done 34k km-s now with very aggressive driving. Im lucky to live around an area with pretty empty motorways and nice roads. Driving up to the limiter (270kmh) and racing other drivers a lot... i have to say the car became even louder since. Even idle in sport+ is brutal nowadays from the constant abuse the car gets. Two new set of tires , so u can imagine. Anyway. I did not regret chosing this one over the 63S, since i wanted a coupé this size. However i would have chosen the 63S if there was one in the Coupé... sadly not.
I thought about getting a stage1 for it, but sice i do drive a lot and very fast, im afraid the stock components would not last because of the abuse.
I doubt it the top speed is 155 lol

Hello. Will cars like the GLS have a monitor like the new S-Class?
They have aftermarket catalytic converter‘s that make the 53’s sounds so much better than the stock catalytic converter. It really makes the performance exhaust from Mercedes sing.
With the money in mind, the 53 models are very good especially when you don't have endless money. Also you can tune it, so it's still very very powerfull.
yeh especially because the new 53´s basically look like the 63 to the untrained eye. Though even if I could afford the 63 I´d always consider the 53 just significantly cheaper to buy and run, put a Brabus tune on it with warranty easy 500hp

sadly the engine sound you hear in the cockpit is pretty much the artificial audio. I tried to compare the sound internally and externally, they aren't even the same.
the pops arent artifical tho, they sound the exact same on the outside. Most of it is real, only a small amount of it is pumped into the speakers. the 63 models also do the same.
@@user-um3fx2vk8r I mean the engine sound bro. Every time you turn on the sport+ mode, the car pumps in the engine sound through the speakers. I own one and I have tested it.
@@thai-stylez I know I was just adding to it. I have a 2021 GLE 53 and I barely hear the sound through the speakers. You really have to pay attention to be bothered by it. The car is still very loud on the outside so it doesn’t make that much of a difference.
@@user-um3fx2vk8r in Thailand, our 53 model doesn't have pipe valve ON/OFF control switch so the exhaust sound is fixed.
I compared the sound between comfort mode and sport+ mode and it was kinda interesting - it's really quiet internally for comfort mode, while the engine sound for sport+ mode was pumping into the cockpit out of no where. But for external, both of these 2 modes have the same sound, just sport+ always uses high rev range.
@@thai-stylez that’s the reason then. Our model has the controlled exhaust system. You can make it loud or quiet when you want in any mode.

great care, great engine. that much ambient lighting is a bit tacky imo, like something you see in a ricer car or uber driver's minivan
The ambience can be adjusted to make it look subtle, or one can make it bright and colorful like the strip club on 48th st. And Monroe. Only reason I know is because I was with your mom in the back seat #dimmed 🥸
@@lizlana4200 still seems like overkill with just the amount of ambient lighting they have in the car but yeah id likely keep it pretty dim. not a dealbreaker for me at all, the rest of the car is fantastic
