      It's just that good! More people need to get out there. It's like a mini Downieville

      Probably one of the best spots to ride when the high country is covered in snow!

    Just went up to Georgetown to ride the Trail Peek Rock Creek Park trail guide that's on the website. Zach rides trails 4-1 and 1 DH, which I successfully rode. They were awesome and I highly recommend Rock Creek Park and the Bald Mountain Staging Area on Wentworth Springs Rd. I was planning on riding the trails in this specific Bald Mountain DH video as well, and went up to the Bald Mountain lookout, where Zach and Dane start the ride down. However, it's unclear where the trail starts after the last chain link enclosure at the lookout. Some of the video is edited out right after the chain link enclosure is ridden past, and I'm wondering which route Zach and Dane take after they pass by the Chain link enclosure. There is a somewhat leaf obscured trail winding down through some rocks, but I only scouted it out for the first 100 feet or so. Any clarification on the route down from the Lookout is appreciated. Also, your exit point on Rock Creek Rd. would be great information. I think the last leg of this video is Trail 4, based on the area map and your Strava route, so I assume you exit where 4 meets Rock Creek Rd? Thanks for any information!

      Here's the trail from the tower on bald mountain: www.trailforks.com/trails/bald-mountain-drop-in-1/

      Thanks!! I just remembered it was a Trailforks route, and not Strava. Just got a new iPhone and I think I can use the Trailforks app to descend. I appreciate the quick response. I'll head back to Georgetown asap. Love it there. Plenty of great riding.

    Love the videos guys, one question about the 29 inch bikes, as a rather aggressive rider even just playing around in a parking lot I always buzz my ass on the tire, I currently have a 27.5 and I love it, but hitting the tire steers me away from future bikes that are 29"

    • @andrewcox7416
      @andrewcox7416 7 років тому

      So my question is how do you keep off that tire while hanging it all out?

    • @TrailPeek
      @TrailPeek  7 років тому

      Can't say either of us have experienced that. Maybe you're hanging too far off the back? Not really sure!

    I'm surprised by how well maintained those are for moto trails. When I used to ride moto the trails were one huge non stop rut. Is this the same area as B1kers last videos?

    • @TrailPeek
      @TrailPeek  7 років тому

      Yep same area! The trails in most sections have water bars and shed the water off the trail keeping them nice!

  • @JustinCaseWages
    @JustinCaseWages 7 років тому

    Yeah boys! LOVE that "berm" at time 5:41. Hit it fast and it sucks the bike down then spits you out! What trail number is that? I get them mixed up.

    • @TrailPeek
      @TrailPeek  7 років тому +2

      11E13 aka Trail 9 (upper portion of trail 9 down to Rock Creek Rd). You gotta do lower tail 9 down to the creek!

    how many sets of high grip tyres do you go through in a season? What mileage also? I am interested cause I will be buying my first WTB tyres. Thanks!

    • @TrailPeek
      @TrailPeek  7 років тому +1

      I did about 3,400 miles this year on the bikes. I'd say most people would be able to get away with about 8 tires a year on that kind of mileage. Thats about 425 miles per tire. At that point the rear is going to be pretty roached but not unusable. Now we swapped tires a bit more frequently than that this year. I think I went through about 12 tires, maybe a few more.

    • @TrailPeek

      No, Zach runs WTB i29's on his HT. Dane has the Reserve's on his HT LT which ain't in this vid.

    31, grow up, try 42, don't have to be as fast. ride your limits, enjoy, try not to be too cool, but maybe have a bit of style. and style might just be knowing limits.

      True that! All about having fun and slowly pushing your comfort zone and progressing.
