It's really great to see the writers because you don't really see or hear from them that much, it would be great to have writers come in to rewatch an episode they were credited on or something, I could listen to these guys all day, show writers some love everyone

But I do agree that on podcasts like these (I think of Conan's as well), I would really like to hear the hosts of the podcast and the guest(s) take up most of the talking and even have a little less structure at times, sometimes podcast producers feel like they're interrupting the natural flow of conversation. But this podcast kinda feels like Meg's baby and we all can thank her for this even being a thing so I think most of what she does is great.

Dunno what it was as I was just passing thru and busy at the time but my neighbor was watching something, not sunny, but the actress who plays artemis was in it and I was like oh neat artemis and they had no idea what I was on about lol.
Woah… I hung out with these guys a couple times at parties at Syracuse University in 1998-99, and I just remember laughing my ass off whenever I ran into them. (Marder in particular!) Fast forward 25 years, I’m a beyond diehard Sunny fan, hadn’t thought anything about them since, and then just threw the pod on and my mind is blown.
I love how much Charlie has been adamant about giving credit to Marder and Rosell for working on Dayman, even though he has also brought so much to the table. ❤
They were in an episode of Sunny -- How Mac Got Fat, a scene that was from a scrapped episode called The Gang Gets Successful, repurposed in How Mac Got Fat
The brilliance of the "Dayman" lyrics is that they sound like something kids come up with while playing. I have sooo many memories of being in my pool with friends as a kid, and we'd just make up nonsensical songs like that for hours. Always had to rhyme, but didn't have to make sense.
As awesome as it was seeing Marder and Rosell, 2 people behind some of the best jokes in Sunny, I would've loved the whole gang to be there! RIP Mac and Dennis

They laugh about it but it's really messed up actually.
Always Sunny found lightning in a bottle which very, very few TV/Movies do. It's success rides on the back of the writers, and the unique way the boys (and Kaitlin) pull it off. I doubt we see a show with as much depth and wit as this one does again, at least in my life time. Much love.

This is the best podcast episode I've listened to BY FAR if you want to see how the show really works behind the scenes. Marder and Rosell really give the impression of two kids out of school that gives the behind the scenes a relatable vibe and Charlie does an excellent job of driving the conversation to interesting, funny, amd enlightening places. This was great!! I'd also love a podcast episode including some of the editors and discussing your editing process. A huge part of what makes the show work is the timing of your cuts, plus you guys have such a unique style of a lot fast dialogue with a lot of overlap, so it's a definitely different editing process than a normal show.

@47:30 Mac& Dennis Break up is my long time, ultimate favorite episode. While others have grown (and continue to grow ) on me especially in later seasons that episode remains the one for me. It's my go to episode to show someone who's not into Sunny to get them sucked in.
This was great. This may be the best episode of the podcast. Meg and Charlie did a really good job co-hosting the interview and Marder and Rosell had very funny stories. I really enjoy when you guys talk shop and give us some behind the scenes information.

Seasons 4, 5, and 6 are peak sunny. I rewatch them a lot.

While I'm sad not to see Rob and Glenn, Marder and Rosell were incredible to hear talk about their time on the show. I love it.
One thing I like about Meg is that she is a student of the game. You can tell how happy she is talking to these two writers.
Even though she had massively more experience than them before Sunny. Good comedians always learn from other good comedians.

i really felt like the show took off in season 3, little did i know these guys could be held (at least partially) accountable for that, along with many of my favorite lines/ideas throughout the series

Mac& Dennis Break up is my long time, ultimate favorite episode.
While others have grown (and continue to grow ) on me especially in later seasons that episode remains the one for me.
It's my go to episode to show someone who's not into Sunny to get them sucked in.
This was great. This may be the best episode of the podcast. Meg and Charlie did a really good job co-hosting the interview and Marder and Rosell had very funny stories. I really enjoy when you guys talk shop and give us some behind the scenes information.
