St John’s Ambulance has been in Australia forever in my memory also.
It was interesting to learn about two groups of knights! I never knew there about the Knights of Lazarus.
We have a former Hospitala estate is Pembrokeshire, the Slebech estate, it's on the most beautiful land and the church of St John still stands but is in ruins, I've heard there are Templar graves there, I intend to find them

Unlike the templars, the hosplitlars existed long before the crusades especially in Scotland. Almafi and Scotland have always had close links inckuding the bones of saint Andrew.

Of the three major factions the Hospitallers are my favorite.Never understood why.Maybe it's cause they was one of the last factions to leave the holy land and there battle of Malta was genius.
The video mentions Hansen's Disease is incurable. But it's referred to as absolutely curable. Unless they were just saying it was incurable back then.
They literally mention that it’s easily cured today right after having talked about it having no cures at the time!

I can explain- when swords clash they Knick and dent each other- rubbing out the dents to polish them back into the blade is better than not- even a rough soft surface like limestone will remove burrs and restore shape and sharpness

Rather take the Hospitallers any day than those overrated Templars. They were better in every way - better outfits, more sensible in that they weren’t as rash as the Templars, and as humane as they were bad-assed
