Actually, Luyah's are well know for their love of ugali. So while all Kenyan's love ugali, luyhas are addicted to it. In fact, a luyah who lives near a posho meal takes pride in that. Houses near posho meals are more expensive - just a joke that is said about Luyah's to cement their love of ugali. To them, any food without ugali is just a snack. Probably that's why as you travelled, you even saw an advert of an ugali brand being marketed ("Unga ni Ndovu", which means, the best wheat brand is Ndovu brand).
