I am living in somnath and I want to add up something in 15th century when there was an attack on somnath at that time "Hamirji Gohel" fight for temple save it and sacrifices his life to contribute to his sacrifices there is a big statute of Hamirji Gohel.So, we should forget their big sacrifice for our culture and temple.

Jab humla hone wala tha tab mindevi jo hingolgadh ki maharani thi usne original somnath Shiv ling pahele se hi le gai gai the jo toda woh shivling asli nahi. Ghela Somnath mein aajbhi woh purana shiv ling hai jo maharani humla hone se pehle chupakar somnath se dur 100km aapne gadh fort ke pas Shiv banvaya or name rakha ghela Somnath Mahadev

Visited this Holy Mandir on my birthday this month. It is a wonderful, clean and neat temple free from any Pandas who hound for "VIP Darshan". The light and Sound show in the evenings is a must for anyone attending.
