- My cover of Andy Gillion and Jeff Loomis' solo from the song Skyless off Andy's new album, "Neverafter."
I spent about a week working on this one after my live stream of me learning it. Those last sweeps were quite difficult I must say, but I'm super happy with the take you see here! Sorry brother! Huge creds for a good cover and all, huge fan of Garrett. But when youre covering someone like Loomis. A good cover doesnt have to be exactly like the original, takes way the whole point. But Loomis got some feel to it, the bends, everything. Garrett is having a tought time, and I do not blame him, playing it. Its still tight and well done!

Hahah thanks man, I assume people think it looks easy because I generally try and not make any facial expressions? Idk.. but it is actually hard and I do sit there for hours trying to get the very best take \m/

I would purchase it defenetly if it was in the original (lo-fi) qlty 24@44. I never will understand, why many bands or soloists record at that qlty, when the program allow easily to record at least at 24@96, 24@192 or even higher, especially when it come to rare masterpiece alboms such as this and others (2 first Paul's, Conquering Dystopia 1st & soon 2nd to exist) not to mention DSD's VARIETIES AND FLAVORS .

I'd like to know what are the poor souls that feel the need to dislike this video thinking... i only use dislike button when there's a sloppy af playing the entire time, wrong key or something wrong with the audio...
Your cover solo has more pleasant bends and vibrato’s … sorry but dudes like Steve Terebery play circles around this Andy… and his riffs are pretty predictable …
