This is absolutely beautiful! I hate having random pages of my kids work. We use a binder system , but somehow their work gets misplaced. I will invest in journals and its like keeping their work to keep. I also do not throw anything away.
Such a pleasure to look at the note booking pages your children have done❤️. I would love to see a video that outlines how you’ve encouraged your kids to grow in their love for journaling. I’m looking at Everyday Watercolor as an option now. Again, such a beautiful job they have done. Thank you for sharing!
We seriously need to do this just to collect the notebooks alone. Everyone in my house is obsessed with notebooks, but we buy them and don't use them😅😅😅
Thank you ! We have been loving journaling❤️.
These are so precious. Thank you for sharing. ☺️
Thank you and your kids for sharing these. Beautiful and inspirational!
Seriously can not thank you enough! Such an amazing blessing!
Your children are so artistic. The notebooks are beautiful.
Beautiful Notebooks :)
Can't wait for the links!
Links are up now!
What is your eldest daughter doing now? I love your family and lost track of how much they have been growing. Thank you for sharing.
I was planning a video a few weeks ago on what all of our kids are doing now, but I'm on pregnancy bed rest and can't even sit up for very long. So I did do a blog post on it that I can send you the link to. For years we used the curriculum I wrote. Right now in this busy season we are using the things in the blog post below and this Autumn we are using a waldorf approach again which we love!

These are amazingly beautiful! Do you write and then paint over the text or paint and then write?
Both! No particular reason we do it one way over another.
Beautiful! How often do they make an entry into their notebooks?
Sometimes a few times per week and sometimes zero. Just depends on the week and what we are studying. 🤍
My daughter (who we think has mild dyslexia) also skips pages and yes, it makes me crazy! lol
I wonder if there’s something to it?!
Could you do a video explaining how your children learned to draw and watercolor? I've heard you say it was through lots of practice, but how did they learn? Did they learn to draw the items or was it just a matter of copying inspiration pictures from books? Thank you!
Just copying from inspiration pics! Or just drawing what they imagined. We never took any drawing courses or painting courses, we just winged it and learned along the way by trial and error.
These are so inspirational! Do you have a link to these notebooks?
Links are added now!!!
Thank you!
The writhing over water color ..what type of black pen do they use ? Also do they do footwork narrations or both (just wondering about that one ) ❤️
We use micron pens for writing over the watercolor. Sometimes we write first then watercolor, it doesn't bleed for us. The narrations are depending on the child's ability, sometimes it is copywork I underlined, copywork they selected, narration summaries they write on their own or copywork of narrations I wrote as they told them to me.
@@SaltyTribeCo did you use a workbook or tutorial to teach your kids the calligraphy lettering ..it’s so pretty in their journals ..my dd wants to learn and I’m not sure which was most kid friendly
What sources do you use for dictations?
For this particular history, they were in the teacher manual but in other subjects they research and take notes, use whatever text we are using or if they’re younger I choose a selection based on the part that interested them most or that encompasses the best block of info.
I’m not finding your daughters tutorial .. is there any way to get a link ?? I was hoping to show my two daughters :) thanks
I am having a major case of pregnancy brain... which tutorial exactly are you looking for?
You mentioned your daughter made a watercolor tutorial/s on her channel maybe?
It’s more of a word-free blog than a tutorial 😀 ua-cam.com/video/RDdnWMwfD9I/v-deo.html
