Thank you so so much ! I start dental nursing in a few weeks and really needed something like this to watch prior. Absolutely fantastic video, very informative and explained extremely well. Thanks again !
You explain things so well !!! Im currently in my 2nd month of being in treatment from starting in dentistry from scratch & you're video's have been a great help ❤ keep them coming and happy new year 🥰
Thank you so much, you saved from lots of stressing out. I worked 5 years as an Orthodontic nurse, I got a new job in general dental practice. I needed some good revision video. This is a lovely help. X
Ellie Harris I’ll try my best! I can’t remember much from training but I have got some videos on what you first learn, how to pass your exams and a training guide :)
Interesting stuff, Very helpful & beneficial even though I have been to see many dentists / orthodontists during my life (as I had many many oral & maxillofacial surgeries in my life between Dublin & east US of A
hi! i start my new traineeship in a few weeks so im getting everything sorted. just wanted to ask what kind of shoes you would recommend wearing for the job?
ellie banks hey :) ah good luck! We have shoes provided for us and they are like croc type shoes...they should provide them for you as it’s part of the uniform...if not then probably just pumps x
Hi. Do you have video how to clean each of those dental instruments? What enzymatic detergents do you use? How do you sterilize it? And how to operate the autoclave? Sorry for my queries i wanna learn things from you. Thank you
guardianeyes777 Hi, I don’t have a video about that and I can’t remember the exact name of the enzymatic we used as I don’t do the job anymore, but it’s all really simple in decon. It’s just a case of all instruments through the washer disinfecter and the machine does it all for you...then you check each instrument to make sure they are clean before sterilisation. Again the autoclave does the work for you, the instruments go in and are sterilised in there. Every practice is different for which autoclave they use and how to record sterilisation but we used booklets where we wrote down the initial warm up cycle (pressure bar reading, how long it sterilised for etc) and then kept all of our receipts from the steriliser which showed all of the information x
@@Clleonie I no longer work in that field. The doctors were never patient, and the other assistants talked about you for not knowing all they know that took them years too learn.
Hey :) thanks for watching! I will try my best but taking a break from youtube currently because I’m back to working full time again so don’t have the time to work on youtube x
How much in your opinion should a qualified dental nurse with 2 years of experience earn per hour? Also , how shall I ask my manager for a pay rise? How do I start the conversation?
Hey :) wow that’s a tough question because pay is very practice dependant! I think I was on around £9 ph at that point. I’ve never asked for a pay rise though so I genuinely have no idea how to ask for one 😕 Sorry I can’t be much help there, I just honestly don’t know how you would ask x
Thank you so much! I'm going back to work after a long break, this video has been a great refresher. God bless
EXCELLENT video ! Getting back into the field after 16yrs and needed a brush up 👍 I’m glad I still remember everything !! 🤓

The Dr talks very fast and calls instruments different names than in the US. It does cover a lot of material in a little time.

Unfortunately I can’t help I fast I talk ;) haha
Hi! You speak so fast!!
Suction video. Tips pleassssse
I’ll probably add that to a Q&A video I think as there won’t be enough for 1 full video but I’ll definitely include it :)
Is that British accent ? Hardly understand
British so aimed towards Dental nurses in the UK as I don’t know how other countries do their dentistry or qualifications :)
