The Sulphur Hot Springs Buckwheat (Eriogonum argophyllum) is only known from one small area in the world, about the size of a football field, where it grows around near-boiling pools of crystal clear bubbling water and the precipitated silica deposits that said boiling hot spring has deposited via numerous boiling pits over the last few dozen millenia as its water has cooled upon reaching the surface.
