MY CAPTAIN! In his last year at City, Kompany barely played anymore due to his injuries but I think in terms of his managerial career that was a very good thing. Since he wasn't on the pitch playing I feel like he was closer to Pep that year than any year before that which surely improved his understanding of the game. People always gave him slack for his time at Anderlecht but fail to understand that Anderlecht was and still is a club in disarray. Just look at them now, they're currently 11th in the League after Kompany left... he worked wonders to get them to 3rd and a Cup Final. And what he's done at Burnley... honestly... I thought it wouldn't work. Cus like you said when I used to think Burnley I thought about 4-4-2 Barnes and Wood up top and absolute Brexit football... which is miles off what Kompany likes to play but I have to give credit to the club here. Burnley trusted Kompany and backed him to build this project even tho his CV was not really warranting that trust... and it payed off. Easily the most exciting team in the Championship and I'm now really interested in what Burnley would be able to do back up in the Prem.
Edit: Forgot to mention, WHAT A LEAGUE THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS! So exciting. Never really followed it but when Kompany took over Burnley I started to follow Burnley and that kinda led me to follow the Championship as well. Love it!

Nice comment mate, this makes me feel proud. Yeah, the championship is great.... until you are in it. Then you 💩 yourself every week wondering which way it might go, I don't feel like that this season though, which is also worrying. 🤔

Burnley have really done fantastically and I’m so glad to see it. The recruitment your lot have done this season is unbelievably good, especially having to work on transfers and tactics quickly before the season started. I really respect Burnley as a football club, a traditionally direct side that have had a whole new rebuild and transformation in the space of only a few months, long may it continue, from a QPR fan

Hello Vizeh, City supporter here.. I just want to say I am glad that Vinny is doing a great job so far with Burnley and he's helped to improve your squad in many ways, starting off with the way Burnley plays football, then how he's developing young talented players and trusts in them, and of course in the league as well where Burnley is top of the table. I hope he stays at Burnley for another season when you're back in PL, before he makes a big step move as a coach. I want him to be our future Pep Guardiola replacement at Man City in a couple years.

We at Burnley have an awful lot to be thankful for during the Sean Dyche era...he is right now the best manager i have seen at Turf Moor in my time as a Clarets fan which is 51 years in February...However.....for the last 2 years of his reign things were stale....the football being served up was awful and there was an inevitability about our relegation last season....However...under Vincent Kompany we are reborn..re-energised...the football is sublime ..exciting...invigorating...Turf Moor is bouncing every home game...our fans are travelling in their thousands...there is an air of trepidation but excitement every game...we now play a fantastic flowing pressurised style of football and we are scoring loads of goals from throughout the entire squad....Thank You Sean and Thank you Vincent Kompany...

Harry Potts, Jimmy Adamson much better than Dyche and they played the total football we are virtually playing now. After all the great Jimmy Hogan a Burnley man invented and taught the Dutch, Austrians and Hungarians the concept if you possess the players capable of playing it. Strangely Pep doesn't like or have his teams playing it as he prefers players sticking to their positions.

I am so happy for you, as a guy who often watch your videos. And the most important thing I can say is that Burnley FC deserves to be in the prem. Absolutely great video, a lot of Burnley fans fully understand how we have got to where we are. However to the wider footballing community this is a fantastic eye opener to how our club was bought. How we have gone about the use of parachute payments that probably the vast majority of football fans think we have spent on new players. Fantastic insight to the players we lost, the amount of wages we paid out. The undisputed talent we have bought since at the greatly reduced price of buying home grown players. Burnley fans have always been proud of our team, but just now we are at a new all time high. Its clear that from every team we play in the Championship the opposing fans think we have something very special happening here. I went to Bruges last September, of course wore my Burnley shirt, the number of locals I met just wanted to sit down and talk about us & Vincent Kompany. Well done Vizeh its a truly brilliant video, and yes I have subscribed!

As playing out from the back needs a goalkeeper confident with the ball in his feet I would tip Burnley to pick up Nikita Haikin on a free transfer in January. He has played for my beloved Bodø/Glimt for three seasons and been excellent at playing out from the back. Sadly he doesn't want a new contract at Glimt and I think he's hoping to find a club in England.

@@johnslattery6194 I was hoping you guys do well as I want Kompany to do well so maybe one day he if he proves himself he can come back to us at City as a manger. Would be amazing. however, I don't want him to be hired cos he is an ex player such as Lampard cos that could go wrong n Kompany is too much of a legend for that. He is my fav ever player so would be a dream him winning titles with City again.

I’m a Spurs fan but fair play to Burnley and what they have done over the last 6 months. The media had almost completely written them off and made it sound like they would never get back to the PL. all the best for the rest of the season

Burnley are not unlike Fulham at various times in the past 5years. They went down after a shocker of a season and had high turn over as a result. This has happened at Fulham multiple times in the past decade. They have brought in a new manager who has them playing exciting football and a quick return is on the cards. Again this has happened multiple times with Fulham. And much like Fulham, the excitement of the new wave will really be determined with what happens next season. Burnley are going back up. It would take a monumental fall from here to miss out on automatic promotion. And while their football is exciting in the championship, it is only the championship. Plenty of sides in recent years have dominated the championship to quickly return after an embarrassing return to the top flight.
I have no ill will towards Burnley at all, and it's better for the game if they tale this form up and continue on with it. It's more a warning, as fans of Fulham & Norwich can attest, that lighting up the Championship doesn't translate to guaranteed premiership success.

It’s still hard as a clarets fan to understand the massive change that’s gone on since we got relegated and see the positive change that’s happened, everything from the mega home shirt to the great media team with their quirky welcome videos to selling out pretty much every home and away game, the futures bright the futures claret and blue 👍🏻

Mark Goldbridge: Burnley, it's always bloody Burnley. It's the only team I want to see relegated. Sean Dyche is a masterclass tactician.

I enjoy your vlogs, mate, but if you think that Burnley were a dying Club with a relegation to the Championship, you'd have had heart failure in the 1986-87 season in Division 4, losing 0-6 at home to Hereford with a gate of 1,961 !! That season was a near death experience .. 😁

Unfortunately bad luck at the striker position this year with Simms being recalled for no reason back to everton and Stewart countless injuries will likely hold them out of a playoff promotion push but you never know

Kompany is amazing..Never take away from Dyche.. that man will and always will be a Burnley legend.. NEVER question what Dyche did for Burnley.. YES Kompany era is amazing to watch BUT its championship.. HE still needs to prove himself where Dyche allready has. THE PREMIERSHIP. We will be there 2023 and i think we will compete BUT all these ANTI Dyche posts will NEVER wash with Burnley fans..
