My condolences to mr Kenwrights dear family & close friends & the Everton fans who appreciated his love, loyalty & hard endeavours for his club. RIP 🖤🙏 (Owls fan)
Bill has always been that constant figure that when you think of the club you naturally think of him. 100% agree at the new BMD Stadium needs to be a permanent reminder. From one of your many Aussie Evertonians.
My brother Paul, a Liverpool lad, worked for Bill as a Stage Manager, during one of Bills productions Paul fell out with the Production Manager and walked out! Having been out of work for some time Paul hit hard times and regretted walking out. After speaking with my brother I said I will try and have a word with Bill with a view to getting my brother back into work with Bills Production team. It happened, I asked security at the players entrance at Goodison if I could speak to Bill, he came, couldn't have been nicer, gave me his secretary's number for a call so as my brother could again be reinstated! I took my seat in the Park End happy, thank you big Bill, brilliant.
I was down to the final 2 to play The Narrator in Blood Brothersand Bill and i were stood at the piano in The Pheonix theatre when the nail bomb went off down the road. My audition stopped immediately and we just stood there in shock. Years later i was a doorman on a top Lpool restaurantt bar (The Living Room) and Bill went to walk in , i took his arm and said Sorry mate ant let you in ....we the joked togather about our encounter years earlier .. Rip from a Red and a fan YNWA
He was Everton’s chairman for the period of time when they went the longest without winning a major trophy! Think of the club Everton we’re before he took over, officially the worst ever chairman the club has had it’s not up for debate these are facts
@@jaymurphy3877 ill give out some facts if you want when bill first took over Everton finance was in dire need of turning round from the mess Peter Johnson left from that he brought in david moyes by 2004 3 years after moyes took over we finshed 4th after that we finished 5th and 6th on more than occasion got to a cup final very close to league cup and europa finals all on a shoe string competing against clubs who had double treble our spending power for 10 years he keep us top 10 on pittance not a easy thing to do in modern football he promised investment he got it for us he promised a new ground he helped get that for us he's done more for this football club put time and money into it gave up more than you will ever do in three life times his name will be tied with Everton forever his legacy is that new ground tell me please I ask what legacy will you leave to Everton football club??
