Why don't you use bt14 koromon, I like this because you can evolve that into wormmon bt16 which I think is more powerful and you can draw extra card by being aggressive
I guess it's simply because you don't want to attack until your pieces are complete. The deck is much more a combo deck. Evolving Wormon behind is never a good scenario anyway if you pay 1.
Also Xiaomon can be triggered by promo Shadramon, then guarantees a draw during jogress (if the effect goes through), so there's 2 card already without having to risk losing a body.
