AHM diesel are crap, but their steamers are built like tanks, they will run forever. I just ordered a fef-3 from AHM in greyhound paint, so it will be interesting to see if it still runs like it did when it was new in the 80's or 70's.
That train is the cheapest piece of crap I've seen in a long time. And being Harley Davidson makes it cool. Right? What a crock. Thank you for all your videos! They're great! Really great!
@@ericgallagherjr8334 that not true with DC operations, I run a DC/DCC layout, and Ive got a few Athearn SD70 series in both DC and DCC, I will run the DC units together back to back and they will operate in the same direction, not opposite directions.
See when I was a kid I used to have DC but now I'm using DCC with sound more locomotives left you having a two deviled headed locomotive you have to put a dummy engine a dummy engine that has no motor and no gearbox if you do have one with with two engines you have to swap the motor and this is easy how to do it you have to turn the motor upside down and backwards and the other engine you have to make the other engine going forward so the other engine's fine you have to make the other one you have to take it apart and then switch the motor it means you got to send it backwards you got the motor backwards if you wanted to go the other way cuz remember I used to do this when I was a kid and I read tons of tons of books about doing it the proper way and the wrong way to do it and this will mess up the motor and mess up your tracks and it's bad it is totally totally bad this will cause you to lose malfunction and slippage you can only use one engine at a time don't use multiple engines just one at a time and you just one fine if you do ultimate if you do like ultimate engines together you ask for trouble and also you ask him for $5,000 to fix your locomotive
a really stupid construction the loco doesn't manage to pull its own dummy, who thought that up, but if the loco has 2 motors and is identical to the dummy, you could build a drive in the 2nd loco, then it fits too the advertising on the locomotives 😎
its from 1997, the motor is probably shot to hell from sitting in the box over the years, as the protective wrapping on the box was torn before this guy got the set so moisture could have gotten to the motors.
Wow wheel slippin in model trains
Hola buenas tardes excelente video muy bueno train set abrazo grande

Thought the same thing….
you do realize AHM was not one of the most common ho scale manufacturers.
I saw the dummy derail a few times, so maybe one of the wheels is out of gauge and dragging, but the locomotive seems to run fine. 💙 T.E.N.
Wow, like trains
Dry axles need oil
Needs oil and grease for gears before running it
I think it might have a traction tire that is missing on the locomotive
Can you do an unboxing review for the Lionel Prairie Freight O gauge train set?
Super. 💙 T.E.N.
I don't know about model trains but I think the locomotives should go in the same direction, you put them upside down
In most cases of dc you have to put them the same direction but if you have a dummy or non motorized unit then its ok like in the video.

Can you tell me how you get this type of train I also want
Kindly check the description of this video
Stop saying it’s a cheap piece of crap it’s really not. It’s more like a collectors item.
Big fan please can you give me shout out in your next video please
Why is there 2 engines

It needs new tires
Get them at a hobby store
It is necessary that both pulling locomotives look in the same direction
you know zilch
