Nice boys, I’ve been out installing cabinets since 6am. Having a new Piz video to listen to on the drive home feels like Xmas morning. Good stuff! I’m going to peep this Friday night 🎃🔪
Man Piz I knew I liked you, I'm glad I found another person who was gushing over it, I wanted to love it, but it just dragged for me, needed to be cut by a half hour and just add something to make it not so dull
I've never seen any of the Omen's, and usually, this ain't my kind of horror, but after all the mostly good reviews I watched, I checked it out and was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. I loved the visceral imagery and the 70's esthetic. Nell Tiger Free was absolutely amazing! Again, this ain't my type of horror, so maybe I had a fresh mind and eyes going in. I pretty much know the Omen lore through pop culture, but I think it helped not to see any of the previous films. I'm definitely going to be checking out the rest of the franchise now. I'd give it a B.
I thought they did a good job with the 70s esthetic, too. There was a moment or two that made me go "this feels 70's-ish." I'll give'em kudos for that.

😂 Jeremy dee bo'd the First Omen. I really want to see this movie at least you filled us in on it. Thank you so much guys for sharing your thoughts and opinions i really appreciate it. Stay safe and blessed guys ❤ ✌
I wish the homages were a little more subtle and Omen. Though to be fair, most directors struggle with that these days. What made it for me was the well done dread and imagery, and soundtrack.
Unfortunately all theaters around here closed down so will have to wait for it physical. Well Jeremy said it was worth the wait I'll go along with Jeremy. Good review and cool video guys!👉🙂👈
I respect your opinion, but this movie was definitely way higher caliber than your typical/average “Devil” movie. While I don’t feel it was quite as good as most reviewers would have one believe, it was way better than one could have expected.
Yours was the first review I watched after seeing this movie, and I was surprised, because I quite enjoyed it. After watching a few more reviews of some other critics I follow, it looks like you're on an island with your dislike of this movie. Maybe Jer's overhyping dampened your impressions, but it was pretty damn good.
I thought it was okay. Not as good as it was hyped up to be by some but the atmosphere and some of the scenes were quite good. Releasing a week or two after Immaculate is a fuck up on their part though and is going to hurt ticket sales since they are quite similar
I'm with you, Piz. A lot of people are liking this one but I found it dreary, schlocky and not terribly surprising. And it very poorly lifted one "kill" from M. Night's Signs...and that scene was almost laughably bad this time around. I did like a few things about it but overall not terribly impressive.
Dude, you are missing the point in The original Omen film, its an instant classic, yes its slow at times but it has some great special effects too. Did you want the devil just to pop out of Damien and spill blood everywhere? Come on, Richard Donner made a great film!
I was never into possession types of movies so I really don't have an interest but a lot of horror UA-camrs are saying this is the best movie of the year
Wow, the first negative review I've heard. Massively respect your opinion so I'll give this one a miss. I liked the original Omen but I think many studios assume that modern audiences haven't which is abit of a mistake; resulting in movies with extensive exposition and generally treading over old ground. Plus as you say, anyone who's watch any of the Omen films knows that Damian is coming. Kinda kills the payoff.
@@pizowell for sure. I am still waiting for Last Voyage of the Demeter which we still can't get in the UK. Not even on Prime. I may have to buy the Blu-Ray. Simply can't wait :-)
Dude Jermey is a badass for wanting a sleep over with that crowd
He's fearless!
On a' day where an Eclipse is happening, It's always good to have you & Jeremy bring a little extra sunshine, for it truly brightens my day! 👍
Our pleasure, Drew!
In 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire', when Podcast is telling Ray what to say about "Please Like, and Subscribe", I was like "That's Piz and Jeremy!"

I completely agree with you. Great film.
Count me out for the sleepover as well. Thanks for the video guys!
Thanks for watching!
I have to say I didn't see the twist just because my brain doesn't do a lot of thinking. lol

Saw The Omen(1976) in a theatre when I was 12 and loved it. Saw The First Omen(2024) when I was 60 and loved it too.

The original omen trilogy are some of my all time favorite horrors, my personal favorite and probably in my top 10 of all time is Damien Omen 2
Thank you for the review Piz. Hope you and Jeremy have a great day...
Thanks, you too!
I really enjoyed the movie, so much better than that Exorcist crap from last year
Aw, best sleepover ever!

He didn't overhype it. He just made sure I didn't forget that we were gonna go see it.
He's got another resident on the island/ It sucked.
@codyw1 Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip...

Jeremy and the sleepover from hell, united as friends, to kill Ronald Reagan... rs
Regan vs Regan sounds like something straight out of Adult Swim. Pity about the movie.
Ronald Reagan? THE ACTOR?!
And former president.
It was a good one thats for sure creepy moments 4/5
I enjoyed it

One of the best reviews you’ve done lately, in other words 11/10
Thanks!!!
Yes the retcon really irritated me.

Not buying the positive reviews. Damien IS THE FIRST OMEN!
It’s a good film was pleasantly surprised
Too bad.Its very good.
@@danvejorconI completely agree with you.

Don't believe them. It was complete trash.
This Omen was the worst movie I’ve seen this year , Me and my wife walk out 45 minutes into it.they never should have missed with Original 1/10
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You're in the minority here.
It happens 🤷♂️
Bored me to tears as well. Have to say I think a lot of YT critics have lost their damn minds over a thoroughly mediocre movie.

It appears as though I'm in the minority with my dislike. Maybe wait for streaming to see it. I have a feeling it'll be hitting VOD soon.
