Excellent. Just got mine last night. Remarkable sound quality for such a tiny device. I didn’t realize how small it was until I opened it. It makes the micro granny look huge.😀
Lemondrop and Bluebox arrived yesterday - the Lemondrop is a tasty little geezer guvnor - not 'arf ! An inspiring sound like yours can be a game changer if you're sitting on the fence going ' shall i,shan't i ? ' - it opened up a world of possibilties for me to explore and i think an Octatrack may be added later as well ! Substantial .....
Nice.Very nice.Very, very nice. No,beautiful ! In fact, very beautiful. No,very, very beautiful ! Sonic soliloquy settling like freshly fallen snow on a ravens back.
Mine arrives tomorrow and it's your fault ! Thank you and hope i can emulate some of your sonic skills to do it justice . Thinking of getting the Bluebox - is it as controlable as a knob/slider mixer - looking at the Tascam Model 12 - got sidetracked a bit as i had set my heart on the Bluebox so need resolution ! Love this music it's so deep.....
Regarding the workflow, I have no reason to complain. This works just as well as with an elektron device or the hydrasynth. Very fast and intuitive to use and the display is large and good enough to see everything. There are a few things about the synth engine itself that I would like to see... but that might come in an update one day.
I have one as well, while it looks tiny, it's actually extremely easy to use, and the buttons and knobs are normal sized. The menu is laid out in a way that is easy to get around with the controls given, and nothing really feels cramped other than the occasional thing you may have to tap on the screen that is smaller, like the patch name at the top to change patches.
Unfortunately, I can't say much about this because I only know these apps from demos. What I can say is that the lemondrop's great strength is that it can play the sounds polyphonically and it can use an input signal directly as the source for the granulators. This is quite unique in this form and opens up a huge playground.
Beautiful! I've got a lemon drop incoming as well. How many tracks/rec takes did you use? Did you sequence it in the lemon drop or from the OT, or rec live?
Thanks !! I can't remember exactly how many tracks I recorded. Perhaps all 8 tracks of the octatrack are occupied. I used the OT like a looper. Most of it is just recorded live. A single sound is triggered by the OT...that rhythmic "pad".
I thoroughly enjoyed this. The lemondrop seems fun and explorative. Granular is new to me but enticing for sure... How do you find the interface and form factor?
Thanks !! yes the lemondrop is tiny but the display is big enough and of high quality. The interface works fine for me too. You have to get used to the operation with the 2 encoders, but after a while it's quite fluid for me.
@@substan_music Good to hear. Was wondering about the small screen and navigation. Thinking of ordering one but hearing that the MicroFreak or MicroMonsta2 might be a better synth for pads. Would you agree or would the Lemondrop suffice? I create ambient soundscapes. Thanks!
@@verdielg The microfreak and micromosta are very different from the lemondrop. You can certainly get a nice pad with all three, but granular synthesis is something very special and for me it is the first choice when it comes to ambient soundscapes.
@@substan_music I can see why...the quality of sound generated here shows the versatility of the unit. I ordered as I do agree its a unique product for my genre. Appreciate the feedback. I subbed for more inspiring content. Thanks!
@@verdielg I have the microfreak as well as the lemondrop, and you can get some good pads out of the microfreak, especially with 3rd party patches (or making your own) to have a more analog or ethereal sound. The upside of the lemondrop is that it has a decent reverb built in, the microfreak definitely needs to be run through a reverb pedal or reverb in your DAW to really shine. Chorus and delay are also good to have.
Very cinematic and Bladerunner-esque! So the Lemondrop does all the pads, drones and slow notes with its two parts? What about the rainy sample and the short sub hits?
nothing really special ... it's all very easy to do in davinci resolve. I put a mirror effect on the background video and looked for a nice blend mode. there is not much more to it

Sehr schön mein Lieber! 🍋
what a trio!
How do you like the workflow on the lemondrop? It sounds incredible, but is so tiny.

Wonderful!
This was great! I end up tuning it out but was disapointed when it ended :)
Thanks !!
Minus the reverbed ASMR rain stick it’s pretty dope
How would you compare lemon drop to borderlands granular or Tardigrain iOS app?
Unfortunately, I can't say much about this because I only know these apps from demos. What I can say is that the lemondrop's great strength is that it can play the sounds polyphonically and it can use an input signal directly as the source for the granulators. This is quite unique in this form and opens up a huge playground.
Love this. It's fantastically atmospheric. Is the rain a patch on the little synth? What is it called?
Thanks !! All sound you hear are coming from patches I did for the lemondrop. Such a great granular synth ...
@@substan_music you made them yourself. thats even cooler
@@substan_music really nice. how time-consuming is it to make a patch like the rain one?
Beautiful music! I am valuating to invest in the OT- what is it doing in this video? Audio or just midi sequence the lemondrop?
Thanks !!! It's been a while ... but I think MIDI and audio

Hey, very nice. What do you think of the 1010? I've been thinking about one of these?
Thanks a lot Andy !! love these 1010 devices ... highly recommended
Very cinematic and Bladerunner-esque! So the Lemondrop does all the pads, drones and slow notes with its two parts? What about the rainy sample and the short sub hits?
It all comes from the lemondrop.. but not all at once. For this reason, the octatrack is included ... it acts as a kind of looper.
awesome stuff! what are you doing on the octatrack?
Thanks a lot !! the octatrack doesn't do much in this case. Here it only functions as a multitrack recorder/looper.
@@substan_music that makes it even better!, love the big kick drum kind of sound, this song reminds me a lot of the latest dune soundtrack, big kudos!
What sorta of vfx do you have going on?
nothing really special ... it's all very easy to do in davinci resolve. I put a mirror effect on the background video and looked for a nice blend mode. there is not much more to it
Das ist nur der Lemondrop? Was macht Octatrack?
zumindest kommen alle sounds vom lemondrop. Der octatrack dient hier quasi nur als looper bzw. sample player
