Just fine so far, i broke one carabiner but that was because i did a vertical speedline on a top and the top landed right on the carabiner. Other than that no problems
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you have double locking carabiners there... triple lockers would have an additional motion needed to operate. Those look like a twist and pull = double lockers. Triple lockers need a lift, twist & pull, or 3 operations to open. Doubles should be fine for speed line. Just don't use them for life support.
Typical 1" nylon tubular webbing is rated at 4,000 lbs, but this is for a single leg. If you make it in a continuous loop, you now have 2 legs, so it would 8,000 lbs. This in turn puts your WLL at 800 lbs., which is even more super good enough.
I’m curious how they’ve held up?

My concerns about the speed lines have been nicely resolved.
👌
Thank you for sharing this
Very cool-I just wish I watched this before buying 3 3 packs of DMM carabiners and 10 slings on arboristore 😂
Straps go fast, you will need more soon haha

Hi, making straps now. I bought 30ft and could only make 4-5 straps. How did you end up with 10 and 2 longer ones? Thanks.
So I ended up with x3 twenty-six inch straps and x2 twenty-eight inch straps. Half of what I expected but more than I’ll ever probably need.
Yea you need 2 rolls of webbing to make this many slings
Good to know!
The cheap ones are probably just printed on the specs. I use the same type
Man I thought they would be cheesy and I would just speed line them but there actually pretty ok
@Squatchie's Trees . I bought rhe gm loops. They work good.
Beer knot is stronger and is a little neater
Ill give it a try thanks!
