    This is my first year growing peppers in a container so I followed all of your instructions in this video. My plants are the bigger, healthier, and with more fruit than I could have imagined. Thank you so much.

    Using large felt growbags I used for potatoes last year, think they should have more than enough drainage! Looking forward to growing some peppers.

    Thank you for your Great video, I like yours because you talk slow, I can understand every word, as we get older we cannot pick the words up so quickly, I live outside Brisbane Australia and its time to get our peppers in for spring , thank you again.

    EXCELLENT video, Riley! How often do you water the pepper plants on a hot day, 95-100 degrees?

    Do you know why they will get root rot in soil but not in Hydroponics? Serious question my Hydroponics always do better than potted in soil

    LOVE your videos - so informative!
    1 question about this one though - How do you raise your containers off the ground? Yours look just like they are sitting on the saucer. Help please as I'm planting now. Thank you!

      @rileysgarden8153  Рік тому +2

      Hi Jackie, the pots have about 1" littles raises on the bottom that keep them off of the bottom of the saucer.

    What Kind of PH are we looking for in the soil for peppers, Neutral, acidic?

    Very informative. I have been trying to grow bell peppers in containers for a couple years now. I don't start from seed, I just buy the inserts from the store.
    The problems I always have is 1) my peppers never get to full size before they ripen. 2) They grow very leggy and don't produce much fruit and 3) I always get blossom end rot. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do differently?
    I use fish fertilizer the liquid kind, worm castings and egg shells but I'm not sure if it's working. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Also the bugs 🐛 be eating my leaves off my pepper plants.
    Thanks for such a great video. You have a new follower here. I live in Houston TX by the way. It's always hot and humid here and we get lots of rain each year. If you can help me resolve the issues I'm having, I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks again. I look forward to hearing from you soon. God bless.

      @@baytownsgreatest Maybe he meant to and forgot? Hopefully this will jog his memory! If he reads notifications anyway. Hope you do better this year, I'm just beginning with peppers and bush beans, newbie, so hoping to do well despite my chipmunks, squirrels, and probably insects! Trying to decide between containers or a raised bed. Watching lots of videos. Cheers from Canada!

      I just started my first ever container garden 6/10/23 but I feel it's all trial and error,keep at it you'll get there,I use Sevin insecticide spray,they also sell the powder and that should help a whole lot... My soil consist of organic potting mix,cow manure,blood and bone meal,tomato fertilizer and peat moss,I'll start my liquid fish fertilizer pretty soon...

    While your pepper plants are growing, Do you add more fertilizer later on?

    • @rileysgarden8153
      @rileysgarden8153  Рік тому

      Sometimes, It depends on how the plants are producing. I have several small lunchbox peppers that produce all season that I don’t add fertilizer too.

    Please edit video to increase volume - cannot hear what your saying, yet with other people's videos volume is good.
