  • Universities now need to think differently about the needs of their students and adapt to the changing expectations of lifelong education. This talk explores how tertiary education is changing and what students of the future will expect from their course providers and subject lecturers.
    Ross Renton is the Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Worcester. He has a wide range of responsibilities, including leading the strategy for delivering an outstanding student experience, widening participation and student success, academic and community partnerships, employability and the oversight of the University’s professional services. He represents the University at a national level on these issues and has been an advisor to several public and private organisations. In his previous role as Dean of Students at the University of Hertfordshire, he led a number of key projects, which included the establishment of four schools and two University Technical Colleges.
    Ross has experience in both the commercial and charity sectors as a Non-Executive Director of Endsleigh Insurance Services Ltd, Director of Student Volunteering Scotland, Chair/Director of NUS Services Ltd, as well as holding senior posts within the National Union of Students (NUS).
