@@thelibran11in Trinidad pretty much all pannists learn their music by wrote - that is, by ear and without sheet music. In America it’s much more common to use sheet music, which is why it seems strange to Trinis.
I agree, too slow but hey, they're not Trinis, surely this has to be the greatest arranged piece of for the steel pan. Jit is long gone but never forgotten, just as long as this piece of music is alive.
I don't know, the slower pacing kind of gave it a latin vibe, which made it compelling on it's own. Although Lord Kitchener himself will always have the top spot until the end of time though, on that I agree.
THE GREATEST PAN ARRANGER EVER, THE GREAT DR JIT SAMAROO. SLEEP IN POWER GREATNESS.
Jit Samaroo really didn't know he was creating a masterpiece with this arrangement.
History is proving Kitchener's music more important to Trini culture than that of the great Sparrow himself.
True!
I'm from Trinidad so it's very strange to see musicians reading music and playing pan. Good job though 🖒
Strange meaning what?

I agree it was too slow, but we had community members in the group and I wanted to include anyone who wanted to play. It is truly a masterpiece!!
Love any version of this!! Groovy or up to speed, this is a masterpiece indeed!!
