Was about to buy one. Thank god I came across this video. Being in law enforcement, that holster not fitting in my duty belt is a deal breaker 😞😞 Thank you for the review sir.
That is a beefy flashlight holster. I think you had it right with the lens downwards in the case. The upper hole is probably meant to go completely over the flashlight handle. I know it exposes the buttons, perhaps it’s so you can leave it in the holster and use it on the belt while tilting it. That way, if you are carrying something in the dark, you’ll at least have some kind of light. Then again, I’m probably totally wrong.✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸✌️
I think the fact that they deliberately exposed both the turbo/strobe buttons on one end and the bezel on the other end (no matter which way you insert the light into the holster) means that is why the holster is designed that way. I'd be curious to know if the instructions might not have an illustration of the flashlight in the holster to show which way it goes, but I also thought it looked more "reasonable" with the lens downward, especially if you're using the tactical double-ring device on it. Reversing the position in the holster and having the tail cap buttons stick out through the hole doesn't make much/any sense to me, since the lens end would then be buried somewhat in the other end of the holster and you wouldn't be able to get the full effects of either strobe or turbo from the light. I'm not sure how useful it would be to be able to turn on the flashlight without taking it from the holster - it's not something I can imagine myself needing to do, but then I've never really needed/used a true "tactical" flashlight, so my experience with them is pretty non-existent. And again I'm just guessing, so my $.02 isn't even worth that much!
Put the flashlight in the holster with the light pointing down. You can turn the light on, and point it where you are walking, toward the floor, straight ahead, or even up a bit. I have the Fenix TK16 and several Nextorch tactical flashlight holsters. They're awesome. Doh, 3 seconds later, yeah, I think that is their intention. I like my hard plastic holsters better...
G'day Mark, yep I reckon thats a proper Tac job. The finger loop is interesting, might take a bit of getting used to, .... but hey, what doesn't ; ) What a great pouch to be spoiled by a sub 2 inch clip. Those holes; .... must be some method to the madness ; ) .... maybe heat dissipation after use ? but then why have it enabling the tail end to slip though, I cant see a reason to have it operate hands free with the head end "buried', .... and if indeed that were the case, surely it would keep the heat in. Happy to be educated, but as it stands, ............ one of life's mysteries mate ; ) Cheers Duke.
Illuminating information!

Actually, that is as good a guess as any I had and likely better. Thanks for commenting
