Imho this is the fight that made me love dark souls, the theme, the setting, the fact that you are fighting a big ass golden buddha with a big ass hammer aided by lightning powered knight with a cool golden armour.
One of the best moments in life, playing that game, listening that theme, overcoming that challenge, then giving the game to my nephew, and talk about it for years to come, until I die. Dark Souls changed my life.
@@Cosmik60 Damn! I should have thought about that. Maybe when my niece finally accepts there's more to life than Roblox, The Last of Us 1 and 2, and Spaltoon.

They didn't play that one trumpet part loud enough. I'm Disappointed. Edit: (I'm pretty sure that everyone knows which part I'm talking about. There's specifically one loud trumpet part in the OST.)
Depends on how you look at it. Let's consider the main objectives: 1) Escape Undead Asylum 2a) Ring Bell of Awakening in Undead Parish 2b) Ring Bell of Awakening in Blighttown 3) *Retrieve the Lordvessel* 4a) Collect Seath's soul 4b) Collect Nito's soul 4c) Collect the soul of the Four Kings 4d) Collect the soul of the Bed of Chaos 5) Defeat Gwyn to determine the fate of the world So in that sense, Ornstein and Smough are about a third of the way through the game, serving as the transition from early game into mid game where the difficulty increases. And I understand that a lot of the bosses after them are less difficult (save for BoC and Four Kings in my personal opinion) but the difficulty of each area is definitely harder. Like, yeah Blighttown's a mess, but I've never heard anyone who isn't a speedrunner call Tomb of Giants easy in my personal opinion, and I always get trapped in the Painted World a few levels earlier than I should. When you factor in how many bosses you can/should fight before them though, they look more like the transition from mid game to end game. I know the game isn't super linear, so I'll just list the bosses in the order that I personally use, knowing other people have different opinions. - Asylum Demon - Taurus Demon - Bell Gargoyles - Quelaag - Ceaseless Discharge - Capra Demon - Gaping Dragon - Moonlight Butterfly - Great Grey Wolf Sif - Stray Demon - Iron Golem - Crossbreed Priscilla - *Ornstein and Smough* - Dark Sun Gwyndolin - Demon Firesage - Centipede Demon - Bed of Chaos - Seath the Scaleless - Pinwheel - Gravelord Nito - Four Kings - DLC - Gwyn

Never will in my heart because I still play it with my friends to this day daily

This game won't die because this game is just famous cause of its difficulty
