Hey everyone! While you may have seen some parts of this video already, it's an extended, uncut video of what the Tachyon guys are doing for the P1 project. That's what the second channel is for, to have more in-depth content for people who want to see more of the project unfold! Thanks!
Nice one Freddie, this is why I love this channel, we get to see things in more depth and at a slower pace. Those complaining they’ve seen it already, should check what they’ve seen and see that it’s about half of what’s in this video. Also don’t watch it if it bothers you that much!! Freddie can’t win, if he doesn’t upload everyone complains for the lack of uploads and when he does it’s not what they want to see as they’ve already seen a small segment of it. The P1 Evo was never going to be a quick build, the things Freddie wants to do to this car take time and a lot of money. What is for certain is when finished, this will be the best McLaren out there. Keep wrenching Freddie and I for one will keep watching👍🇬🇧
Amazing that you took the time for us all to know the build and function of a Turbo, in the Oil & Gas its a Turbo Expander but very large, same function. Great video Tavarish from the UK
Thank you Tavarish for uploading this extended cut video. It was worth it for the classic content alone. The cars in Tachyon's building and parking lot contained some rare beauties. That old school rx7 was obviously a true petrol heads baby and it was nice of you to show off that young owners pride and joy, I'm sure he appreciated it even if some of your viewers may not be rotary people. The greater depth of the explanation and the display of what Tachyon produces for turbo manufacturing for their market was interesting as well. Great content for nerds like myself, thnx.
Been here since the SL55 days many years ago. Started from fixing a retractable roof with a plastic part, to fixing a flooded P1. You’re amazing Freddy.
Noticed that Bambu Labs X1E in the background at 11:11, those printers are awesome for the price. Cool to see a company like Tachyon using them for R&D purposes.
5:30 I think they drove those things halfway around Australia after they finished the rallying. The Nundah Mitsubishi guys turned up at the panel shop with one, joking about getting a quote to fix it. Every spot weld had at one time been pulled on hard by the body flexing around on the frame, big door gaps at the bottom, whole thing slightly banana'ed. Looked like it had done the hard yards..
we have, in a previous video on the main channel but it was just a short segment in the video (part 11). this video's just everything including the parts that didn't make it into the main video.

What if we got a 3varish channel for behind the behind the scenes - I wanna see Tommy holding the camera and Rex with his pants down while this type of content is being made.
I think that when you do these videos, the intro, and you put the footage of the McLaren from the flood in, I think back when you first got the car, you would probably cry watching that flood video.. now? Today? Yeah I'd smile from ear to ear just knowing how far you've come with that car and the possibilities.. awesome work!!
One thing that I love about watching videos especially on this channel is the explanation and deep dive into the knowledge, continuously learning new things.
McLaren is now owned by the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company. They previously owned 60 percent of the company. I wonder if they will make their own parts or farm it as well.
Dang what an awsome shop!! Really high tech small production and they have some cool cars! 160K kilometers rally spec evo looking that good is pretty sweet and left hand drive. Gonna be funky to see some big nice turbos on the P1
Some I'm watching (I like smaller channels): -Buillt It Yourself is stuffing a custom built 4-valve Ford V10 into a new Lincoln Continental and converting it to RWD. -Junkyard Dave has built a Hellcat/Trackhawk swapped Charger with a Magnum Roof. -Lasersterling is remaking his 3D printed Aventador SV into an SVJ while simultaneously making a Mclaren 600(?) LT with a P1 Hood. Bonus: Stay Tuned is stuffing an Aston Martin V12(!) into a Foxbody Mustang.
I love seeing Timo on the channel again! He's so precious and full of knowledge to share, I feel like his ears perk up at the thought of turbo's. Such a cool dude
The performance thing is interesting, but what would interest me even more is the issue of cooling for the 1400 hp. It requires a lot more liquid and also more cooling surface. There is now some space where the battery was, but where do you put the extra cooling surface??? Excited to see that part soon. Great Video!
Completely aside from the video, I find it amazing how younger people across the world are slowly gaining a more and more neutral Americanized accent when speaking English. I would assume because of socializing online and gaming. I consider myself young (coping hard here) but when I was a teenager you could tell where someone was from fairly easily by their accent. Now there are so many European people you meet online that you would 100% believe them if they said they were from the Midwest. Especially people from around Sweden.
