I’m from Stroud, saying it’s not a football area is incorrect. The issue is no professional teams in Glos until Cheltenham did it in the 90’s, everyone supports teams that were big in the 70’s and 80’s
Stroud is a massive football area! You are very correct. More football clubs per population than anywhere. He’s talking bollocks, it’s a serious footballing area. Rugby is pretty big in Gloucester, but that’s about it in the shire.
FGR aren’t from Stroud. Stroud is 5 miles away. They’re from the hamlet named Forest Green. This is situated in the town of Nailsworth. They were called Stroud FC for a very very short period in 1989. Other than that they’ve always been known as Forest Green Rovers AFC
Treated wood is actually a lot more safe than steel construction due to how it behaves under extreme heat. Obviously the Bradford fire was tragic but that stand was over 100 years old before wood treatment was invented. In m any cases fire escapes are made of wood due to the fact they are safer than steel
Great video, Pity Dale Vince is using the club as a marketing tool. It will be interesting to see if contiunes to absorb multi million pound losses when they drop back into non league. Also club is based in Nailsworth which is technicaly a town in its own right. In gloucestershire prior to Vince it was known as the little club up the hill. I just hope it returns to its roots when vince pulls out and it does not go the same way as other projects like Rusheden and Diamonds. There are many parrells between the clubs.
Unfortunately Forest green Rovers and Colchester United are getting relegated this season. 😮 10:38 the Women was waiting patiently for her Vegan food because this is a vegan team.😅 What teams do you two plan on going to this month to end the season?:) Nice watch.
Who knows, maybe the great escape is on! Another video should be out over the next few days on Barnet’s potential move back to Underhill, and I’m looking to cover the National League play-offs too!
The whole club and so called "Green" ethos thing is a nonsense which Mr Vince used to push his own dystopian future. Most football fans will be glad to see them relegated this season and good riddance !
Instead of ‘JustStopOil’ they should have adopted ‘just stop getting relegated’. Never mind I don’t think the EFL will miss you. Thanks for the 6 points and 11-0 aggregate, love from Stockport County…
It's always inspiring to see people who are so committed to their cause.
Such a pity that they can't play halfway decent football! 😇
It makes it difficult when no manager will stay with them for over 20ish games, let alone one season
@@c2plays8 maybe our shit owner shouldnt get managers with no experience
`Great vid! if u keep up one day you will make a living out of it! greets from the netherlands!
Thank you, that's the dream! 🇳🇱
Well done on the interview. That was a surprise. You've got some skills to further develop.
My second club if there is one. Love what they're doing and hope Steve Cotterill can get them back up.
My only problem with Forest Green is that I'd be too busy eating the whole menu to watch any football.
Controversial!
Such an interesting video and so glad they managed to play after all that crazy rain!

FGR were founded as FGR, the name Stroud FC was only briefly used in the 1980s/90s
Fabulous and very interesting video. Food looked pretty good too.
Thank you!
Top quality video !!
Thanks!

Subscribed from California, fun video. Keep it up
Awesome! Thank you!
Eco park looks nice on paper, but wood shouldn't be used in stadium constructions. May 11th 1985 taught us a lesson.
True, Phil said it will all be treated properly and it will be fine but I understands the critics.

That tragedy was exacerbated by negligent safety standards. There were literally piles of uncleared rubbish under the stand.
Packed a lot into that video - great content and presentation.
Thanks for watching!

that stadium will look so good in non league. The rush to build housing on the existing ground is probably more important to them

It was a great result yesterday!

condolences for having to go to Forest Green
Stroud is very much a footballing area!

Lol vegans going down
FGR will be back up.
I'm a veggie and I know a good veggie burger but those at FGR are awful.
Fair enough, I couldn’t taste much from my bite. The pasty was quite nice though.
