The movie was fucking great but this soundtrack is worthy of winning an oscar if that's even worth anything these days... on par with Joker, had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through the movie. Brilliant.
The movie was great, but what really sold it for me instantly was the score. It's eerie, it's ominous, keeps the tension and the feeling of uneasiness the entire time it's playing.

This is what I love most. You know, the eerie music like this that plays when John Wick digs his guns for revenge (part 1), Mr Nobody unlocks his basement and "H" waits for the truck to get hit by a gang. We all know there will be good flashy action and brains splattering when the guns are out. It's the anticipation and buildup when regular guy sheds his mask and bad guys are trembling in terror of storm they have unleashed on themselves. Badass.
Chris Benstead has found a score admirer in me. As soon as the film intro started, I immediately reached for my phone. "Wrath of Man composer." I didn't expect anything special, but Benstead surely delivered an amazing film experience, so I'm looking forward to his name attached to other films.
My son wanted to watch this movie and I said I didn't want to, but I could hear the music from the other room. It is unbelievably brilliant and drew me in. I love the double bass and cello.
