"fruitiness or vegetableness" of pumpkin is actually a really good question. Years ago when Germany was still split, the eastern German government had set a panned agriculture. So every year it was set how many vegetables or fuits were gonna be produced. Obviously, it didnt always go according to plan. Sso depending on what was needed more (fruits or vegetables) the government would mark pumpkins under the respective category.
Ive been using pumpkin puree as an egg replacement in baked goods and it’s working well imo. Also pumpkin oats EV ER Y MORNING w pumpkin, oats, pb, maple syrup, apple, and cinnamon. Delich!
@@simplyboppingK they said ‘egg REPLACEMENT in baked goods’ as in it serves the purpose of an egg (binding ingredients together), no one said it tastes like eggs 😂 Get over yourself
@@simplyboppingK There are so many different things that can be used as a binder in baking-pumpkin, flaxseed, sorghum, chia. Why does it bother you that other foods can be used as binders? That doesn’t seem like something that should bother you so much LOL
I sell fancy chocolate to fancy people - a *lot* of the clientele doesn't like white chocolate. The issue is that more, uh...mass-produced white chocolate is cut heavily with vegetable oil. This results in a lack of flavor and an odd, sort of waxy texture. Higher quality white chocolate tends to be mostly, if not exclusively, cocoa butter. (The ratio really comes down to how much the company wants/needs to cut costs.) My recommendation is to look for white chocolate that is more of a yellowy off-white than a pure white color. That said, I find it's best enjoyed if you divorce it from the idea of "regular" (milk) chocolate flavors. It's a nice sweet little treat! I especially like a white chocolate chip + macadamia nut cookie. Hope you enjoyed your holiday, ty for coming to my Ted Talk
Re: seasoning coffee. The place is extinct now, I think, but Caffe E Via (Fresno coffee shop that had a spot in my hometown) had a Mayan Mocha that turned me on to putting A bit of cayenne pepper in my mochas. Its like subtly spicy, more in the throat area, but super warming in fall and winter. A lil cinn a lil pep and its bomb.
We have a sort of sweet potato spread in Argentina (more like a jelly than butter) closer to a pâte de fruits. We use if for thumbprint cookies, for a sweet stuffed kinda bread (like a babka) and pastafrola. Some versions come with a chocolate swirl, it's delicious!
Emily, Your beautiful stuffed dates would be lovely on your charcuterie board:))) THANK YOU again for trying my idea w/ the pumpkin spice spread in your coffee💚🧡💚🧡
VEGAN CORNBREAD RECIPE FOR LAZY PPL. Box of jiffy vegetarian cornbread mix + enough diet soda to make it a batter (I think u can use reg soda). Grease microwave safe container and microwave for 1 minute. Pair w vegan chili. I promise you it's so good.
I just want to say, merle and Emily have been my biggest influences going vegetarian. Once I finish college and have enough money for all the substitutes I will be going vegan. I am slowly transitioning my meat loving husband but it is a super exciting journey 😊
Ah! I hate when I fall asleep before you post, but so happy to wake up and watch with my coffee. 😂👍🏻 Holiday Emily is my favorite, I’m always excited to see what holiday things you try, what meals you make, and to test some of those out myself. ❤️
I like white chocolate....okay, maybe it's not really chocolate but it has a certain rich, sweety goodness to it. And the mint/chocolate combo is a definite YES!
I love white chocolate but I eat it less often than dark or milk chocolate, idk I guess it less common and I crave it less, but when I crave it I loveee it. White chocolate with raspberry or with pistachio is deliciouuuus. I think I am craving white chocolate now🫢
SCREECHES i just spent an hour making gingerbread pecan butter by hand in my food processor rn and have just come back after pausing in the middle of your video LOLOL
i feel you with the people not appreciating dates haha, a few weeks ago i finally tried dates for the first time and it was like love at first sight but except my mother, no one else i know irl likes them 🤧🤧
All I could think with your ~subtle~ peppermint chocolate coffee is that it sounds like a peppermint mocha la croix in the best way lmao. Love these vids, always stoked for the holiday content!
I like making pumpkin spice syrup for my coffee by melting equal parts of sugar into hot water and then adding vanilla extract and a pumpkin spice mix to it. Then I just make 'espresso' with my AeroPress, add oat milk to it with the syrup, and voila! A pumpkin spice latte sans pumpkin 🤣
my secret is that everyone loves when i make homemade gnocchi but i CHEAT by just using equal parts AP flour and instant mashed potatoes and then add enough boiling water to make a dough. so if you're looking for another use for the instant potatoes you should try it!
i’m still early in the video but i’d love if u made a video taste testing vegan eggnogs! the thing is, they are mostly thin bc without eggs/heavy cream it doesn’t get thick. BUT i know it wouldn’t be too hard making one with oat milk and full fat coconut milk! The so delicious vegan nog is the most popular because it’s coconut based!
Good Saturday afternoon Emily. What a haul. Everything looks so healthy and delicious - perfect for a vegan holiday meal. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend, and wonderful holidays.
wow I had no idea wicked kitchen existed outside of the UK! I thought it was just a tesco thing😅 also I totally loveee mint choc foods/drinks, and white chocolate! they're both amazing hehe
I think the sweet potato butter would be good as like the base to a sauce for a some sort of bowl, or a little bit on top of the cheez and crackers for your mini charcuterie board?!! Idk I’m so curious to what that tastes like lol
I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience with the Wicked foods. Our Tesco supermarket sells it and TBH everything I have had from that range is NOT good
I'm not a huge fan of white chocolate but I have yet to find a vegan one ever, so I haven't tried a vegan version , though I really like dark chocolate more cause it's a lot easier to find vegan dark chocolate than white chocolate at least in my experience. Also I just really like dark chocolate.
You say spicy coffee and now I have to ask. Have you ever had a mexican hot chocolate? A spicy lil hot cocoa? I wonder if that would work to make a mocha?
wicked foods mac and peas: stir thoroughly after adding the water, and give it at least 5 minutes. stir again before eating (shouldn't be crunchy or liquidy) their mac and peas are not my fav, their chili mac is the way to go!
I have a feeling that the noodles just hadn’t cooked w/ the Mac and peas. Maybe dump the contents into a pot and let it reduce until no more crunchiness?
Love chocolate mint - don't understand anyone who doesn't.... I also tried the Wicked Foods Mac and Peas this week. Had only a microwave to heat up water - the pasta stayed crunchy but I guess the flavor was okay. I love the Wicked Foods channel but I haven't been impressed with their food line.
I know it's not coffee, but technically Chai is seasoned tea (cardamom, clove, cinnamon, & black pepper are commonly used spices) so seasoned coffee isn't so strange lol
Another awesome video beautiful & gorgeous Emily and no need to apologise for eating Oatmeal. More yummy 😋 food as always. I 🥰 the video and love 💞Emily.
I don't like white chocolate either... iss' too zweet for me a lot of the times. Guess they gotta make up for the lack cacao as in real chocolate or so ... cool and funny video as always, thank you (:
The cookie jar near a heat source when you have cookies inside doesn't look very safe for my paranoid ass, I would always be thinking that my cookies are not good anymore
White chocolate with hazelnuts from ichoc is my fucking favourite, but I also like any kind of chocolate in hard form, no soft like pudin, that makes me gag
Have to agree with your roommate. Don’t put it on the stove. The heat could cause it to break. The paint could discolor. If there are cookies in there they’ll go bad faster. It will get covered in oil splatter.
babe wake up emily ewing posted

the tree on the stove in the middle, the way u moved it is nice

omg i will definitely put stuffed dates on a board!!
that sweetened condensed coconut milk is amazing
you could take the sweet potato butter and use it as a filling in crescent rolls !
16:11 I hope this isn’t weird but your voice + the ice cubes swishing around in your coffee gave me nice asmr tingles 😵💫
miss emily!!!!! the undercut looks so fucking good 😤😤😤!!!

You could totally make peppermint bark at home w the peppermint marshmallows & give them to friends for the holidays!
Pumpkin has an almost earthy & fruity combination. It's slightly sweet but also earthy. Love making homemade pumpkin coffees or pumpkin in my oats.

I tried the matcha white chocolate popcorn too and the first thing I thought was the marshmallows from lucky charms 😂 but it’s somehow good???

White chocolate is something you can't treat or think of as chocolate. As you said it's kinda like frosting!
Yes! I just tried that popcorn from thrive market recently as well, and it totally taste like Lucky Charms 🤪
thank u for validating me
White chocolate is good when it's made with real cocoa butter...a lot of white chocolate is pretty much palm oil vanilla and sugar
Chill ass youtuber

woooah that's a good idea
Ohhh it would be so good with chocolate rice krispies!
Genius
Would highly recommended adding some of the miyokos cheese to mashed potatoes, it’s sooo good!
personally i like the christmas tree on the stove
If you have any of those peppermint marshmallows left, maybe they could be used in choc rice kirspy treats
Good Saturday afternoon Emily. What a haul. Everything looks so healthy and delicious - perfect for a vegan holiday meal. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend, and wonderful holidays.
I found Tofurky bologna slices, made a sandwich on toasted rye with vegan butter & mustard. Oh YUM!!! 😋
I remember how bland your kitchen looked when you first moved in, but I think it looks so cozy and comfortable now
we have that wicked kitchen thing here in the uk too and i also thought it was nasty!! i swear it never cooked and was crunchy all the way thru

the lil rainbow flag at the iced coffee lmao same

14:50 it's so strange to see Wicked Kitchen products in the US as Wicked Foods
I also thought it was just a Tesco only brand but I guess not 🤔
Love the happy dance with your first bowl of oatmeal 😊
~drink every time Emily says "ok"~ but also hi I appreciate you and this new vid
my friend recently made me aware of how much i say that haha i didnt even know
you should try making chocolate marshmallow squares with the peppermint marshmallows!
Great way to end my school day
I love white, milk and dark chocolate 🙌
MANUAL PUMPKIN SPICE
You could try a sweet potato butter baked oats or bread
Follow your heart mayo jars are so handy. 👏
Salting oatmeal is key!
