Bro I’ve seen this beast come alive. The story is epic. Going back to the beginning of this epic story and knowing the outcome!!!! Well, Mr. Montaner You have set the bar high! Anything you put your mind to you can accomplish. Ps. Use the right mounting bolts. 😂👍👌
I am NOT a hater. I've been following you story since the motor fell off. Without being there I can only say if nobody got hurt then if the man who owns it wants to cut loose a brand new out board then it's his choice. I think what you have done is GREAT my hat goes off to you.
That has got to be milestone what yall have done, float an outboard up from 90+ ft of salt water ,strip entire motor down to the last bolt ,clean ,dry, lube then reassemble the entire thing now all you have got to do is install and crank that baby up! AWESOME!
Dude, that Verado rebuild is looking great. Can't wait to see it on water taking you fishing for Muttons and Mangrove Snappers! Who knows? Mercury Marine will be dialing 305-Rodolfo, and 786-Alfred as soon as y'all are done and getting some waterfront property in West Hialeah by the canal behind Westland Mall as their new testing facility.
Alfred - I enjoy your video's and the content you provide. Its provides an insight into your world if not the Merc Rebuild, to the Rib-Boat Restorations. You passion and story telling makes your content something to enjoy. Don't worry about the haters or those that leave negative comments. However, you seem to taunt viewers and Merc. Bro - You are Gold. who cares about Merc or others. Keep representing... BTW: If you have boats for sale or boats finished, you should show those things.
I've been backing and supporting you from the start, I'm not a religious fella but I'll pray to Neptune that she runs and serves you well. All the best from a big Aussie fan bro!
It's a monster the sea monsters coming back to life LOL you're doing it Alfred can't wait to see it run bro. Mercury where you at ??? this man deserves an award for what he has done. For showing the people out there that you can bring back to life a verado that was lost a 100 feet down all the haters said it can't be done.you can't buy that kind of advertisement. but my man Alfred is doing it hats off to you bro keep the videos rolling
Haters don't hate you, they hate their life, and they get extremely pissed when other people have the ability to injoy life.Me im a poor fool but admire anyone that can make something of themselfs, any body any race .
Exactly. I find it so odd that people troll pages just to leave negative comments/thumbs down pages. These guys got their act together. All positive here
Rebuilding outboard motors is like working with glass, no matter how careful you are, something is going to be broke, then your stuck waiting for parts... Seattle Washington.
Rodolfo is a man with the patience of a saint. Watching him work is a treat he is so methodical and precise he should be known and the doctor of marine engine's. Hey when you had this motor stripped down did you have the opportunity to work it. I mean bore it out stroke it out hone it and all of that stuff. If so what do you think would of been the price difference between returning it to stock versus modding it ?
Micheal E Robinson he sure does have patience!! I would loose it if I were trying to do that work and have Alfred yapping away while I’m trying to focus😂 I would have shoved that olive branch up your butt alfred lol
@@greghanas3334 oh ok butt.pirates I might be in the wrong place perhaps boating isn't my thing lmao. Sir you have issues...And still the hell away from my damn olive tree.
If you have all the plastic pieces, you can solder them together with some heat and maybe some other plastic to use as solder material….. I do it to bodywork for motorbikes. If you want that really strong u get a fine mazed ziff and cut pieces from that, and melt that in to the material u would like to reinforce! Good luck, awesome buid so far!!!
For the nuts under the engine put a piece of tape on the end of a wrench so the nut stays in there and you can put them on that way, so tape on the bottom of the wrench and set the nut inside and then you can get a small turn on it to get it started.
A friend of mine tried to do this with a smaller motor. Didn't work out so well, but they didn't know what they were doing. Job one is to get it to start. Job 2 is to get 20 hours on it without anything breaking. This is fascinating but it could have been edited down.
Chain link was twisted and the down pressure straightened it out. I love somebody else uses a wrench for a cheater. Anytime you think you have a time frame , double it! I am so ready to hear that bad boy run!👂🏽
Ok guys, Been watching your series. I have a few questions lol, I have been a marine mechanic and outboard repair shop owner for some 54 years now. So... when you lost the engine... the first video showed a bit of the engine still hanging off the boat. (maybe plastic covers)? But here is the thing I worry about that I see.... (or things) First... The boat mounting bracket on the transom STILL HAD THE MOUNTING BOLTS showing on the video where you lost the engine.... You brought the engine up off the bottom... (very cool job, have done similar many times ourselves) ... Here's the thing guys. .. Your outboard still has the unbroken mounts attached along with the swivel and trim brackets attached, the bolt holes are there and not broken out... This means that engine was either sabotaged and someone had removed/loosened the mounting bolts and nuts or it was intentionally lost? I am not accusing you of anything guys, I am saying in the first video both the bracket and hole bracket was still on the boat as was the 3/4 inch mounting bolts still in place.... so what gives? Who took the nuts off causing this to happen? I have seen insurance jobs like this but I am thinking you were sabotaged?
Well, I was a major HELL NO to do this, but looks like I was wrong. I still have my doubts, but I’m shocked it’s come this far. Looks like I might eat my words. Well done.
Hey man, I really like your channel. I can't wait to see this baby run! I would love to see subtitles in English when you are speaking Spanish! I feel like I'm missing out! Keep up the good work!
Ok buddy I made another channel for my wife now she is subscribed love the content bro I just finished a Buick grand national that everybody said I wouldn’t ever get finished restored it in six months
Wonder if he got the title or if original owner filed insurance claim it might be hard to get the title not sure about Florida but in Texas you need to register the motor and boat.
Have you isolated the cause of the motor coming off the boat in the first place & what are you going to do to make sure you don't have a repeat of the incident ??
i love the vids but your making it out to be some super crazy rebuild..i work for a charter company here in Miami and my jet skis flip on the regular and ingest water sometimes the computer goes bad or maybe even the harness...all we do it spray fresh water on the motor some wd40 flush the oil like 4 times new fuel, new plugs, maybe new computer and it cranks your not inventing the wheel here what your doing has probably been done a 10000 times...your vids are entertaining but not worth the 45 mins just to see you put one screw and not see it start
I'm the guy watching from the can

A chain was just twisted and popped into place no big deal nice work
A twisted chainlink that straightened out, should have looked for that before the lift.
It's going to be awesome man it's going to be better than new
You know if that was a tv show they would be using that part where the chain moved for all the commercials
A friend of mine tried to do this with a smaller motor. Didn't work out so well, but they didn't know what they were doing. Job one is to get it to start. Job 2 is to get 20 hours on it without anything breaking. This is fascinating but it could have been edited down.
