I stumbled across Govi in a fruit market in Cambodia in 1999 where I worked as expat. Just bought a disc in a small shop. Liked it & often listened to it relaxing at seashore. I was young, full of dreams & future seemed to me a fascinating adventure. Life was easy. Time passed. Life changed a lot. Troubles and bitter things went through my life. Haven't been listening to Govi for ten or so years. Now I listen to this amazing music again & memories carry me away to that beautiful time...
This beautiful song brings to my mind a picture of being in a sailboat on a bright summer day running along a rocky shoe in the islands with beautiful blue water and white spray billowing up over the bow while running full with the wind and friends all engaged in handling the boat loving the moment in life! Thanks you Sir, what a wonderful song!
Oh My! I have to listen to this again and again! I have only recently 'discovered' Karunesh and then somehow stumbled across Govi, and i love this piece! How i wish i learned to play the guitar like this.
BOught alot of CD's for cheap at the Russian and Central Markets and Soryia mall in Phnom Penh when I was a teacher their 2010-2012. Loved Parts of the country immensley...hated the corruption and human rights abuses. Your right this music is wonderful
