Girls, if I'm not mistaken, this is a concert played on a sea ferry ship traveling on the Baltic Sea. Just imagine, you get on a ferry to Sweden or Finland and instead of having some frivolous fun, you go to a Nightwish concert 🥰🥰
Nice Windmill on the second attempt... the Oregon judge gives her an 8.7 for technical and a 9.2 for artistic content. This song is so much fun. And having Marko takes the cleans on the chorus, leaving Floorspace for her growls ... just genius !! btw, some folks may try and stear you other vesions of this song (Wembley or Mexico City) citing better recording/visual angles, but I heard this one first also... and there's something about that intimate/close-audience environment... you can see how the band loves to play to faces (distant crowds can be distant)
But the problem is that the cruise performance has Floor's growls so low in the mix that only vocal coaches pick up on Floor's Death Metal growls, so non vocal coach reactors, like these ladies miss that fact and another side of Floor's amazing voice.
It's not the worst version. Maybe for reactors to pick out the growls, but i do prefer this version to listen to on my own. As a performance this is a solid one!🤘

You should try Therion. They started the symphonic/operatic metal craze and are still one of the best in the genre. I would try Adulruna Rediviva live from Budapest or To Mega Therion from Wacken 2007.

Floor did a bunch of solo concerts after her Beste Zangers appearance in the Netherlands. Her fans all over the world wanted to see the final show in Amsterdam so she crowdfunded the production costs to professionally record the concert and released each song and the whole concert on her YT channel. It has a more mainstream feel and was geared to her fans from the TV show more so then her metal fans (although we love all her stuff). It was amazing show where you got to see another side of her and songs from all the different stages of her career. It was part of the foundation for her solo side project that resulted in the release of her solo album Paragon. Lot's of good stuff, live and music videos, from that album.

As someone else has already mentioned the meaning behind this song goes very well with the meaning behind their song Noise. In the video for Noise there is to much going on to take it all in at once. I'd recommend doing a double reaction where first you watch a lyric video so you can really zero in on the lyrics. Then watch the official video and focus on the visuals. If you try to take in both the visuals and lyrics in one go you're sure to miss something. This and one other song are the only time I prefer the video over live performance.
Yeah, just when you think is, there’s nothing else that floor can do with her voice she does the metal growl perfectly. Welcome to NW army ladies. So hello from Finland from me, may I ask what part of USA are you ladies from? As in are you South, Mid area or where? Obviously for safety reasons no need to tell the State if you don't want to. I like e in Southeast coast of Finland. Little city called Naantali. All we have here is an 5-star hotel and moomin world that was build is 2 islands. So very much a summer vacation place. In near city Turku we have TPS SM-LIIGA(LEAGUE) And festivals where Nightwish has performed many times by now. Almost every summer. I've seen them like 15 times in my lifetime. But with Floor w times. Both were in 2015. Tampere concert and in Nightwish Cruise that was held in 2015 also. There were people all over the world in 1"small" cruiseliner. Compared to 70tons of metal concert in USA where they were in a huge liner which left from Miami if I am correct. Anyways, like your reactions. You should check out her own channel's cover songs she has done. Those are so good also.
This is the only song that Tuomas has written so far with growls in it and Floor does them in every chorus. It is his comment on Internet trolls. The growls are more obvious in the Mexico or Wembley concerts. Your second windmill was pretty good. Just consider that Floor does is continuously for 30 seconds in Seven Days To The Wolves at Wembley.

This song is a reaction to the trolling the band - like anyone with any kind of name - experiences. Interesting in that it does allow a redemption path - yours is an empty hope, but you can renounce your behaviour and turn away from hatred - which is a message that is fair and humane. After all, if you never allow redemption and forever condemn the empty and hopeless there is no reason for change at all and the cycle of hatred continues, so you have to allow grace. I'm not surprised you didn't pick up the death growls - there aren't many good shots that show Floor doing it. There are a few women in metal who use this technique and most can switch between growling and clean singing on a single word. It still needs to be done well to be done safely. Although almost everyone describes it this way, I always think it odd to hear the middle bit described as a siren - since the essence of a siren is luring the involuntary to their doom. In context of a song clapping back at trolls, I don't know that makes sense. Personally I think it is more of a Banshee cry - the sound that is heard when you are doomed to die with the shout of "YOURS IS AN EMPTY HOPE" right after as a warning.

Of no, they just released a live performance of their first song in the set of their first show back after two years' hiatus, a show just from this past March. The Wembley version is the best all-around. Mexico City has lots of energy Tampere has sharper video Rock in Rio has the sharpest video and best concluding Floor scream, but awkward sound mix. Overall, this is the worst version

It was amazing show where you got to see another side of her and songs from all the different stages of her career. It was part of the foundation for her solo side project that resulted in the release of her solo album Paragon. Lot's of good stuff, live and music videos, from that album.

As someone else has already mentioned the meaning behind this song goes very well with the meaning behind their song Noise. In the video for Noise there is to much going on to take it all in at once. I'd recommend doing a double reaction where first you watch a lyric video so you can really zero in on the lyrics. Then watch the official video and focus on the visuals. If you try to take in both the visuals and lyrics in one go you're sure to miss something. This and one other song are the only time I prefer the video over live performance.

Yeah, just when you think is, there’s nothing else that floor can do with her voice she does the metal growl perfectly. I would love to hear her do more of that in a song but yeah some people just don’t notice her doing that some think it’s one of the guys but no it’s definitely floor doing the growl in the background.

All we have here is an 5-star hotel and moomin world that was build is 2 islands. So very much a summer vacation place. In near city Turku we have TPS SM-LIIGA(LEAGUE) And festivals where Nightwish has performed many times by now. Almost every summer. I've seen them like 15 times in my lifetime. But with Floor w times. Both were in 2015. Tampere concert and in Nightwish Cruise that was held in 2015 also. There were people all over the world in 1"small" cruiseliner. Compared to 70tons of metal concert in USA where they were in a huge liner which left from Miami if I am correct. Anyways, like your reactions. You should check out her own channel's cover songs she has done. Those are so good also.
This is the only song that Tuomas has written so far with growls in it and Floor does them in every chorus. It is his comment on Internet trolls. The growls are more obvious in the Mexico or Wembley concerts. Your second windmill was pretty good. Just consider that Floor does is continuously for 30 seconds in Seven Days To The Wolves at Wembley.

This song is a reaction to the trolling the band - like anyone with any kind of name - experiences. Interesting in that it does allow a redemption path - yours is an empty hope, but you can renounce your behaviour and turn away from hatred - which is a message that is fair and humane. After all, if you never allow redemption and forever condemn the empty and hopeless there is no reason for change at all and the cycle of hatred continues, so you have to allow grace.
I'm not surprised you didn't pick up the death growls - there aren't many good shots that show Floor doing it. There are a few women in metal who use this technique and most can switch between growling and clean singing on a single word. It still needs to be done well to be done safely.
Although almost everyone describes it this way, I always think it odd to hear the middle bit described as a siren - since the essence of a siren is luring the involuntary to their doom. In context of a song clapping back at trolls, I don't know that makes sense. Personally I think it is more of a Banshee cry - the sound that is heard when you are doomed to die with the shout of "YOURS IS AN EMPTY HOPE" right after as a warning.
Floor with the growls! She can do anything. Literally the best show I have ever seen in my life, up to this point. Have you checked out Lovebites yet? Of no, they just released a live performance of their first song in the set of their first show back after two years' hiatus, a show just from this past March. I'm kinda with @lesliebates22 on this one. Been around many reaction channels, been introduced to many artists new to me, but kind of dodged Nightwish. The three of you make EVERYTHING fun. So, I stuck around for this one all the way through. They may not be my first choice to listen to. But, I will watch them with you all.
