This song helped me while I was getting divorced. There’s really nothing better than travelling in the middle of the night, open window, lit cigarette, and Boiler blasting on the speakers. So much uncertainty and fear dissipated because of this song. Thank you Limp Bizkit!
Kerry d you took the words right out of my mouth...back in 08 my girl,my 3yrold and myself moved to portland to start fresh...a week later she took my son,the furniture and our vehicle while i was at work.....i was catatonic but i listend to chochlate starfish, primarily "Boiler" and it fuckin actually got me stronger....less sad more mad...just had to write that...DM
Oui go girl
I had an incredibly awful friend... This song is for him.
Going through the same thing. So I feel this I really do.
I'm going through the same too bro. 7 weeks in now
Chocolate Starfish..., Marshall Mathers LP, Hybrid Theory, White Pony
2000 was a really good year for music
And don't forget INFEST (Papa Roach), THE SICKNESS (Disturbed), WHITE PONY (Deftones), AWAKE (Godsmack)..... Oh and KID A and STANKONIA
How about Hybrid Theory linkin park debut?
+Clay Hoel I wrote it
It's one of my favorite albums of all time
Clay Hoel
You're damn right, I was only 10 years old thank god my parents knew the good shit that's why I can recite every lyric to almost every song on all three of those albums, quite literally in the latter two. I never thought about it that they all came out that year
Who's here in 2024❤
Of course we all still here and will be in 2034
Ever!
Not alone, my friend

Different time and place to be...
Glad I experianced it.
I will never forget, as I skipped school, when this Albvum came out, to buy it when the store opened :D

The atmosphere of this song is tremendous. Wes and Sam captured that dread and despondency perfectly
Aged like a fine wine. I can’t believe I watched this shit on MTV after school. What a trip. A lifetime ago..

Man, Sam Rivers is so underappreciated. That bass.
So is John Otto

you decide but ill tell you this:
90% of the music in the world is about either falling in love or breaking up
Limp Bizkit - Boiler
Lyrics:
Looks like I'm gonna do everything myself
Maybe I could use some help but hell,
You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself
Maybe life is up and down but my life's been (what?)
Till now I crawled up your butt somehow and that's when things got turned around
I used to be alive
Now I feel pathetic and now I get it
What's done is done you just leave it alone and don't regret it
But sometimes, some things turn into dumb things
And that's when you put your foot down.
Why did I have to go and meet somebody like you? (like you)
Why did you have to go and hurt somebody like me? (like me)
How could you do somebody like that? (like that)
Hope you know that I'm never coming back (never coming back)
Looks like I'm gonna do everything myself (everything myself)
Maybe I could use some help but hell,
If you want something done right, you just do it yourself (got it?)
Maybe life is up and down but my life's been (what?)
Till now (got it) I crawled up your butt somehow (got it)
And that's when shit got turned around (got it)
I used to be alive, I'm so pathetic but now I get it, what's done is done
I know you, just leave it alone and don't regret it
But sometimes some things turn into dumb things
And that's when you put your foot down.
Why did I have to go meet somebody like you?
Why did you have to go hurt somebody like me?
How could you do somebody like that?
Hope you know that I'm never comin' back
Why did I have to go meet somebody like you?
Why did you have to go hurt somebody like me?
How could you do somebody like that?
Hope you know that I'm never comin' back
Depending on you is done, giving to you is done
No more eating, no sleeping, no living, it's all just more giving to you and I'm done
Depending on you is done, the giving to you is done
No more reaching, no sleeping, no living, it's all just more giving to you and I'm done
The hiding from you is done, the lying from you is done
No more eating, no sleeping, no living, it's all just more giving to you and I'm done
Why did I have to go meet somebody like you? (like you)
Why did you have to go hurt somebody like me? (like me)
How could you do somebody like that?
I hope you know that I'm never coming back
Why? Why? Why?

We can't go back to those years.
We can't have the same goosebumps when MTV was airing a new song.
But we can all agree that those years were the best ever and we were there living that moment.
We have that connections that nobody of the new generation can understand or share.
We are one.
Nice three days grace reference
This song is still epic. 2023. Such a well-composed track
I feel ya
Awesome isn't it. I absolutely love how Limp Bizkit create those trippy almost Trance like sounds in the softer part of tracks before the heavy stuff kicks in. They are definitely underrated in terms of music composition, genius in my opinion.
Yeah I'm excited to see them in May ! Didn't think I'd ever get the opportunity to ! Hope they play this !
it got that timeless feel
Stumbled across it just now and I completely forgot about this song. I love it - most of their lesser known songs were way better
Was 15 years old when this came out. Felt such a rebel when i listened to their music. Man i miss the 90s.
One of the most underrated Limp Bizkit songs .
Best song on chocolate starfish imo!
Re-Arranged and Eat You Alive are more underrated, sad...
@@_.suzaku.__ re-arranged is my secret LB guilty pleasure...being a guitarist, i find that song very melodic
it has 70m views bruh
Its one of their best and not underrated at all. You are really pushing it with the "underrated" comments nowadays.
Remembering the time when music as heavy as this was so mainstream on mtv...
just remembering time when music was on MTV is thing on its own :D
This is not heavy though at all...Mtv never played metal videos, they just played music videos from bands like Limp, Staind, KoRn, RATM, Marilyn Manson, ect.
@@leadme2thebliss21 Slipknot is heavy metal.
Was just thinking the same
@@leadme2thebliss21 heavy enough. I’m sorry you can actually understand the words. Yes there is music out there heavier than this, but to be like, “eh, this isn’t heavy”. When it’s heavier than 90% of all music when compared to every genre is being naive.
4:09 The editing in this part is brutal. That vignette with zoom and blur in the background makes the depression and suffering it conveys visible. It's a work of art.
That's what I'm sayin! And the fact the the darkness is covering his eyes makes it more so

This song is still insane... Remember rocking this on my anti-skip walkman that took 6 AAs as a kid. 32 years old now and still rocking it!
6 AAs. Yeah i am back to this song to, and listening to NIN alot.
'anti skip' 😂😂
I had the Sony one. Ohh the memories. This song got me through some tuff times. 35 now
Those were the good days man shit
You and me both buddy
Limp Bizkit has been my favorite band since I first heard their stuff back in 98. I'm 27 now, and I wish it was 99-2000 again so I could hear that good music pounding through the speakers. I sincerely hope they return to their original style like back in the day. I like their style now, but it doesn't feel like back in the good old days. We need some more Nookie/Rollin'/My Generation type music, and I know that they would have an army of fans coming to listen.
98/99/00 best times of my life
But Fred need to put his voice on a rest. He over used it a bit.
Thank god i'm not alone in thinking this too many people base their opinion on the life of fred durst and his character not the music.
***** You can only scream for so many years man.
tubefed420 Golden Cobra wasn't to bad.... Same thing happened to M Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold and Jesse Leach from KSE!
23 years later still a fucking banger of a track.

I’m crying how come we missed these times , this era sucks I miss 2000s!
[ • ]
Ohh yeah me too
I cry with u. So many years already gone...
I can tell that you are confused. It's not this era that particularly sucks : it's just adulthood. You miss when you were young and completely careless, naive and ingenuous... not the 2000s per se, which were in no way better than other decades... You're going to be alright. But you need to accept this truth : we all get blinded by a fake sense of nostalgia. Exact same for your parents before you, and your grandparents before them... For many people, the 2000s sucked big time and they wanted the 80s and 90s back...
Point is, it's always easier to spit on the present and idealize the past, than to work on changing your life, the world, the present... But most of us would rather have a shit job, debts, tons of useless responsibilities and complain, than act for real on their inner misery...
@alien house LOL. Like it wasnt the case 10, 20, 30, 50 years ago. Your grandparents were telling the same about the music your parents were listening to, and the same with your own parents. Take some distance, my friend, and dont become a jaded and bitter nostalgic. Cheers!
Still brings tears to my eyes when I hear this, wish I could turn back time and never met the ones that broke me…..

The best video of Limp Bizkit - Illustrators, animators, colorists, photography specialists, cinematographic quality, costume designers, acrobats, set designers, musicians, actors, make-up artists, special effects specialists. all that together
This was a "tip of the hat" to Pink Floyd's film "The Wall". The beginning explains it all. Pretty cool.

Quien dice quien dijo, limp bizkit ni si quiera son palabras del diccionario
I remember seeing a live version of this song on a dvd or something back in high school and seeing the gnarly stuff Wes does on the guitar with the ebow and dive bombs at the end, while Fred screams Whyyyy. Just hooked me and thats when i realised how creative these riffs really are. Otto and Rivers just have so much groove, it's perfection. Been my favourite Bizkit track ever since. 33 now and just saw them a few nights ago on their last australian show and they played it. Even managed to catch a pick, absolutely stoked.
Best song of the album.
sometimes i feel so old but also pitty for the youth of today cuz they passed out the nu metal generation and grown up with drake myley cyrus and such a shit...
slipknot, korn, the old school linkin park soad limp bizkit made my youth and im so fucking proud to have whittness that
im part of the young generation and i grown up to limp bizkit, red hot chili peppers, foo fighters, and more awesome music, not that shit what is going on right now .... ( this wonderful childhood is only because my brother tho, but still :D )
soad is not nu metal though.
still 100x times better than drake or miley cyrus lel

“Hey Lois, remember the time we listened to Limp Bizkit Boiler?”
@@_knifewhore_ Yes Sir
So happy to have grown up in this generation of music. RIP kids these days.

Language, kid.
I HATE CATS 😂
Flowmasta Flam I'm Glad I grew up with cool ass parents, I'm 19 and most kids I know look at this music like it's garbage, I just don't get kids these days
This whole song is great, but the beginning sounds especially cool. People who judge Limp Bizkit off of Rollin and Break Stuff are missing out. Wes Borland is a great guitarist.
*THANK YOU*
Yeah Wes Borland guitar riff for the Mission Impossible theme in take a look around 🎸
Rollin is their best song imo
Still love this song and this was a mixture of rap and rock.❤❤❤more love to this beat
this brings so many tears..love LP forever..my favourite band
Me too
I still have strong feelings about this song to this day. Today I am 35 years old, but when I was 16 I used to listen to LB a lot and felt like a victim of my own actions, immature in relation to my peers, I suffered a lot with the consequences of this but thank God there was a small power of reflection within me.
Life can be an apprenticeship or a prison, it depends on you, reflect on your actions. Feel good about what you do and use it to evolve in general, be better today than yesterday, this is more important than you think. I honestly don't know why I came here to write this, I rarely comment on YT but I felt a need. I apologize for sounding like a shithead to some. Stay with God. LB is part of my life, I just thank you!
Real deep my friend ! And I feel the exact same way and I'm also 35.

Good stuff, I'm 50 and I learned something from you.
Man that was great . I really feel that thing what you wrote here . Limp Bizkit forever !
You where 15 calm down
2020, who is going to be here? 😆
i'll be here every fucking year😆 cause it's one of my favorite songs of all time
🙋♀️
Beautiful!
Here!!
Me! Jan 1st bitch
When I was 16 back in 2000 I was going through one of the worst periods of my life because my family life was falling apart and I suffered a severe head and neck injury in a training accident that cost me my hockey Scholarship, I went into a deep depression and was suicidal. I felt so alone and I lied to everyone because of how cruel and exploitive high school was I felt like giving up but thankfully in 2001 things started to turn around and to me this song and video represents alot of what I was feeling and going through at that time. In many ways this song hit close to home for me and reminds of the positve change that finally came inspite of all the horrible setbacks I experienced. Thank you Limp Bizkit.
Limp, Korn, and LP defined this era...great memories
They're so similar and different at the same time. They were a perfect duo to be on stage together.
Best breakup song ever made.
i think it is more than a break up song... can apply in many moments of ones life.
N1GHT5 "It'll be ok" is one of the best songs by them, also fits after a huge breakup ;))
N1GHT5 yes fuck it...... you are right
yesterday my girlfrend left me
Yep. I broke up with Jack Daniels. It's an addiction song.
Fuck... I thought it was just me listening to it with that reasoning in mind.... Had this on repeat when an ex finished with me 14 years ago! Great days...
Fuck. The raw anger of this song still fuels me to this day.
This is an incredible song and video!!! I love Limp Bizkit ❤
The best song by Limp Bizkit
I agree.
It's always been my favorite song by them.
