Jesus came to baptize us in the Holy Spirit, and the power and grace that comes from the baptism in the Holy Spirit changes lives. For the millions of Catholics worldwide who have had this experience it is a transforming grace that brings freedom, peace, and the very presense of God. Unfortunately for many Catholics the term "baptism in the Holy Spirit" is not a term with which they are familiar. In this segment we will discuss what the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is all about.

Excellent! Thank you Father for bringing these segments of the Wild Goose to us. This one on the Holy Spirit really touched me, as lately, I have come to realize how important he is in my life. I call on him every day and ask for his gifts and advise. I ask him to keep me safe as I go about my way and he does. Come Holy Spirit Come!!!

There is nothing more spiritually definitive than receiving the Holy Spirit and going through the baptism of fire.

Thank you for this Segment. I love the testimonies and the insight of this new found insight. Initiated into the Holy Catholic Church but wasn’t aware of this particular teaching. I thought it was the Sacrament of Baptism & Confirmation. Praise God for this new found knowledge. Looking forward to learn more and finally be Re-AWAKEN.

It is a beautiful experience, the Holy Spirit has been with us
    since our baptism again
thru confirmation, the sacraments, keeps us strong in our faith, in love with Jesus,
In love with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. The thing is some people
Are not careful and they leave the catholic faith
They leave the true church to follow the protestant faith. Big mistake. They leave Jesus true presence
    In the Holy Eucharist,
    The true church.🕊🔥✝️🙏💞😇

God gives us all gifts. He gives many gifts, of many types. God is love. Jesus is God and is our Savior and his work was the greatest act of mercy and sacrifice ever imagined or ever done and by a perfect man. Holy spirit moves like the wind you don’t know where it came from you don’t know where it’s going. I’ve been blessed in my own life with much mercy and forgiveness from our Lord and Savior. I haven’t had a exuberant experience of being baptized in fire of Holy Spirit necessarily but I have felt joy rise up in my heart in my chest and in my being and I knew God was near very near. He filled me with a confident sense of peace that helped me greatly in future life trials. If our Catholic brothers and sisters are seeking this gift and experience of the Holy Spirit then let’s be glad for them and for us that they are on fire for God. If it’s a work of God it will last and if it’s not it won’t.

The question is - how do you know whether you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit? I know I have received the Holy Spirit in my baptism and my confirmation (the laying on of hands happened then.) But how do I know if it's "fully" released? Sometimes I look at the faults and failings that still exist in my life and think, well, those show that I am not living the life God intended for me, so I have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Other times I look at moments of my life where my faith and my prayer life and my desire to witness were so obviously kicked into overdrive by the Holy Spirit, and I think "I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit." But how can you know? Is it like, "if you've prayed for it then you've received it, don't worry if you didn't fall down or speak in tongues"? Or is it like "if it happened you would not be able to doubt it, so if you doubt it then it hasn't happened"?

Check out 21:30 in the video. Fr. Dave Pivonka talks about what kind of things happen when you have been baptized. Note that whether you have or you haven't, the Holy Spirit comes over and over again. Have someone pray with you, or go into the quiet of your room (if you have it;D) and ask. Just say, "Come Holy Spirit." Maybe you can put on some praise and worship. Just tell God what you want, tell Him you want more.

Important question... How we know that this baptizm of Holy Spirit is caming from God or Devil? People obsessed by Devil can also speak in tongues. Devil is a big liar and he try to confuse as by doing miracles. So how to recognize it?

In Scripture, Jesus tells us "A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will know them by their fruits." (Matt 7:15-20) Someone who has truly experienced this grace of baptism in the Holy Spirit will bear much fruit for the glory of God's kingdom. If there is no fruit at all, and especially if the individual is participating in satanic practices, then you can bet that their so-called experience of receiving baptism in the Holy Spirit isn't legit. Feel free to check out the book "Baptism in the Holy Spirit" by the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services Doctrinal Commision. An excellent book on the subject of baptism in the Holy Spirit and an easy read! Also "The Spiritual Gifts Handbook" by Mary Healy and Randy Clark is fantastic as well.

@@ronedee : The "speaking in tongues" that you read about in the Book of Acts was a specific incident when the Apostles were given the gift, the miraculous ability, to speak in their own Aramaic language and yet be heard and understood by people of many different languages and dialects. There have been rare instances of this occurring at other times when necessary.
The "tongues" that Charismatics are so fond of are unintelligible gibberish!
An exorcist will confirm that this behavior is one of the signs of demonic posession.
Considering that at the time of Lucifer's rebellion, one third of the angels were swept out of Heaven, how can you be sure that these "gifts" are coming from the Holy Spirit and not from a demonic spirit?
