I've always been interested in Purple Mattresses material. I like the open spaces that provide air flow and cooling while laying down. Edge support is very important to me so this might not be right for me. But it's great to see new materials being made for mattresses. Things seem to be progressing well to help our sleep.
@@noahmeme2 Yea, I've seen that not to long ago☺...I need to do read up on how well the edges hold up. I'm paralyzed and have to push my hand/arm down on the edge to lift my butt up and over to my wheelchair. If the edge is too soft my arm sinks in the mattress and I don't lift up enough (but I can always set a transfer board under me like I used to do if I need to I guess). I think I WOULD LOVE a hybrid because I like my mattress rather firm☺
Currently have king size. Sleeps great but if you’re going to buy plan to never move your bed or your house. It’s freakin heavy and flimsy, hardest bed to move EVER!

Although purple is known for temperature neutrality, I'd have to be careful not to get a mattress too soft as if I sink in too much, I'd worry it would trap in heat. I think I'd opt for the hybrid if I got anything to help with more support, more airiness through the springs, and more edge support. Just a little more pricey for the hybrid though...
I always thought this would be a great bed. but it seems from closer review its not IDEAL for strict side sleepers. But I am still amazed by the raw egg test...lol
Im a strict side sleeper and I bought the og purple and I don't feel like I have enough pressure relief on my shoulder. Going to try the purple 3 next. Hopefully this will be the one

Does the honeycomb texture sink the knees in if she’s on all fours? I tried to get a good idea of it, but we were told to leave mattress firm shortly after....

It was very helpful to see the interior of the mattress and how their Purple grid reacted. I would prefer a mattress that is a tiny bit less firm but overall I think this would work for my husband & my 2 different body types.

There are those of us purple fanboys out there. My purple is so comfortable if I try taking a nap I'll go into full blown dream sleep. Also the purple sheets are the best ever. Cant relate to any criticism.

I am shopping for a new mattress but I am really not convinced about Purple nor latex mattresses in general. Also, I think it would be nice to always have a stomach sleeper in your reviews. It would help people like me make a choice!

My husband & I purchased this mattress from Macy’s in January. It had a very strong chemical smell for several weeks & after a few months of use it is now a VERY noisy mattress! To me feels no different than the memory foam mattress we previously had. Definitely regret purchasing this mattress.
You need one or two older testers on staff. Preferably one would be a menopausal woman, that way the cooling properties of a mattress will be properly put to the test. Not sure how many mattresses we've been through over the years, and all we see are 30 year olds testing the cooling properties.

Packey 74 you would have to go to the stores and try on the spot, I had bought purple 2 where I was very disappointed, back pain more discomfort we feel the matter either especially the small tiles we feel them too much, purple exaggerated too much on the quality and I think people on youtube are paying by purple to say such exaggeration
Will you perform this with one of the purple premier mattresses? I believe a heavy weight sleeper might get more support from this and the motion transfer may be different due to the coils.

I think the extra money for the Purple 2-4 with coils is a better way to go, but that is just me.
