@David Molyneux It is busy yes but just like it is in a normal 6 weeks holiday! Don't let all the comments you see flying about put you off too much. September will be the best time to go.
Elena Fox Think I've seen you a few weeks ago. Staff are friendly and the park is indeed very nice. We managed to get on all the big rides and the queues were only 20 plus minutes. Shame Rita was closed.
Hex is my favourite ride. I didn't used to like coasters so although I ride them now back in the day I used to just go on Hex 6 or 7 times in a row haha.
@@SuperEnthused It's a shame you suffered with motion sickness on Hex. It's one of my favourite rides and I always go on it because it usually has a really short queue... unless it's raining, in which case the queue is really long! I just love the Legend of the Towers and the theming of the ride, it really gives a very immersive experience. Nemesis Sub Terra was similar and built on the back story of the original Nemesis rollercoaster, but it got bad press and apparently 'wasn't scary enough', so they closed it :(
I remember the first time I went to Alton Towers. My parents had told me we were going to some historical place but they took me Alton Towers for my birthday instead. Alton towers is easily the best theme park in the world

I've been here many times, but it's only after watching this video that i've sat back and thought about how the majority of the rides have a 'dark' theme. It's interesting to see that contradiction with the very green and beautiful setting.
Well you sparked my curiosity about Hex & since I am not coming there anytime soon, I found info about it. I found a UK vlogger that cycled to the actually Oak tree. You should find that since as you said you will not be riding that one again. Beautiful area there. Thanks so much for sharing & doing these things I can't do right now. The story of nemesis is that whilst digging at Alton tower they discovered a large egg (part of the storyline to nemesis sub terra as well) which later carked and spawned the Nemesis, it reeked havoc over the world until the government managed to chain it down with steel bars, on the roller coaster the track are those steel bars that hold Nemesis and you are riding them.
I'm glad you shared this day, it was really neat! Alton Towers Gardens were exciting going through arches of hedges. The beautiful blue flowers reminded me of hydrangeas.
Love Alton Towers.... haven't been there for a long time tho. Was there when Oblivion opened. They had the best logflume ride and River rapids too. Nemesis is one of my favorite coasters. Great park.
@@jtrmmulherin I love the Congo River Rapids, but never was keen on Flume... it always seemed to get you far too wet and didn't seem all that thrilling IMO. I can't wait to try Wicker Man though, which replaced Flume.
I can remember when The Corkscrew first opened (and before it was built), as a kid it was the first coaster I rode which turned you upside down. Me and brother must have gone on it 5 times in a row on one visit, we got off, ran round and got back on again. Brilliant. Love the park today as well and have taken my own kids their on many an occasion, including staying at the hotel and enjoying the water park also on site. Have a great stay.

Yeaa Courtney!! I love England and i LOVE Alton Towers, you found my first ever trip! I fell in love with it right away. I've got a lot more UK vids after this too! If you look, I have vids on almost all the UK theme parks like Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Chessington, Drayton Manor, etc etc, plus places like Bath, Stonehenge, Avebury, London! I looove it and we did one trip to Disneyland Paris too. Got more planned in the future, very much looking forward to it!

The first time I went on 13 was during scare fest when it opened. A whole different experience at night. Plus they had ring wraiths running about the woods in the queue line scaring people.

Was there when Nemesis opened and Oblivion think it was the year after about twenty five plus years ago. Nice to see both still going strong. Shame about the blood red water not being on. And yes it was on Gardeners World😁
You're right, it is a shame about the Blood Red water... I assumed that they just didn't maintain it, but I heard somewhere that the dye was harmful to the environment and was leeching out into the water table, so they had to stop using it? I'm sure they could find an environmentally friendly dye though? It just makes the ride theming so much more impressive!

Was there when Nemesis opened and Oblivion think it was the year after about twenty five plus years ago. Nice to see both still going strong. Shame about the blood red water not being on. And yes it was on Gardeners World😁

You're right, it is a shame about the Blood Red water... I assumed that they just didn't maintain it, but I heard somewhere that the dye was harmful to the environment and was leeching out into the water table, so they had to stop using it? I'm sure they could find an environmentally friendly dye though? It just makes the ride theming so much more impressive!
