    These are low output pickups not the opposite, as mentioned in the video!

    Does anyone know if the pickups in this are wax potted? Thanks

    None of the Burstbuckers are wax potted, not to my knowledge anyway. Also I wouldn't class them as high output at all.

      Chris Dee after market they are unpotted . stock they are potted .

      George Vernon brustbucjer 2 is only half the output of jb j b is 17k and burstbucker 2 is 8 2 . I own burstbuckers and have tested their out put. 7.7 neck 8.2 bridge . not high output .

    burstbucker is not high output. neck is 7.7 and bridge is 8.2

    You would think when you were demoing the guitar you would use each pickup selection and play all over the fingerboard, you did not play up high once.

    I own it and love it, but beware its a cheap circuit board setup inside for the pots and pickups.

      +T.I.N Yes I have opened it. From what I understand Gibson is still putting the boards (PCB's) in standard guitars. I call it cheap because one of the volume pots on mine cuts out when all the way up, and I've read of others having problems with them. If you want to replace a pot you have to replace the whole board or buy four pots and rewire everything. Also the pickups plug into the board so if you change pups its gonna be an issue as well.
