sir sorry to correct you but Shivling is not the phallus, shiv ling means symbol of lord shiva. In sanskrit 'lingam' means symbol and 'shiva' means nothingness which denotes lord shiva, as well all are well aware that there's no source of end or origin of lord shiva which is why is in that shape. Therefore it is called as shivling. It is a very debated issue as many organizations have claimed that Indians worship sexual organs but that's not the case when it comes to lord shiva. It was a misconception popularised by mughals and britishers to such a extent that many among us believe it to be true, and consider it as vulgarity. I am not saying people don't worship yoni or phallus, they do but shivling doesnot depicts that. Thankyou and sorry If i unintentionally said something wrong.
