I have started making stop motion animation pieces, and one thing I want to do to make prototype parts is lathe a ball at the end of a steel rod, and I can't find the tools to make consistent balls at the end of rods. And I wanted to ask what the tool was called that cuts the round ball on a solid rod? This channel has been wildly helpful and enjoyable I appreciate all the effort y'all put into your products, work, art and animation.
Thanks, this is not a simple thing to do. With big balls you can use a device that attached to the lathe can make them, called ball turner. But with small ones it is not as easy. You must make your form tool to shape the ball in stages, it means a tool that has the shape of the ball and cuts. Not easy, I stoped doing it as it is hard to get good results. Now I use CNC to make balls.

Hi Costas we are doing all we can to speed the shipping of the orders. We run into many unexpected delays that we will explain in this month update. The biggest has been that we must ship all orders in one pickup as it is the only way the courier will help us with the labeling of the packages. But it will be soon. I hope.
