My diesel rubicon Gladiator is awesome! I have Banks programmer and Pedal Monster on it. Cold air intake and Water Methanol kit ordered later will remove dpf and exhaust and I have 42” tires I love it…
I don’t have time to watch this today just thought id say that my diesel gladiator on 39s has been the most potent off road, reliable and enjoyable vehicle ive ever owned. I have other vehicles but my first instinct is to grab its keys no matter what I am doing. I also dont care that much but at 70mph on a mostly flat highway it still readily delivers 24 sometimes up to 26 mpg with little wind. Would a 392 sound better and be faster? Sure but to me thats never really been the point of a jeep and at half the mpg it’d be hard to justify driving it beyond the weekend
I've been watching Shaun's channel for a long time and recently started watching your channel. Two different styles of overland vlogging; but both great. You guys convinced me to get a Jeep of my own to start my own adventures with the family. Thank you for the content you guys create. PS: I've noticed Shaun saves his jokes/stand-up comedy for your vlogs LOL
Couple years ago, I reached out to Brad , and really said He should hook up with Casey 250, and establish the Canadian Connection… 👍 that Brad had the nice things to say about you, that we already knew 👍🇨🇦🍺
Great video. Can you possibly please plan to do more collaborative videos with your good buddies from The Story Till Now, Trail Recon, and Dirt Lifestyle? I would really enjoy seeing more of these.
So you never said why you hate your diesel? I love mine and love the fuel economy. Sound of the hemi is nice. But like chrome don’t get you home. Maybe do a follow up on your Hate!!!!!
Great video! I drove an eco diesel and couldn’t justify the price tag and now with the price of diesel?……yikes! Having said that, I drive what I want and don’t worry too much about fuel…..you only live once But you know, you can still come out to the Prairies and enjoy the scenery here. Not many UA-cam channels out here, just people having fun. You can have a place to camp anytime!!
Hello Casey, What is that system you have to hold your radio mic over your left shoulder and on the cage? It looks like it might work for me. Have Fun, Sean
Thanks for the reply! I’ve got an appointment this weekend to look at a 2022 ecodiesel. Can’t find the build anywhere I’m looking for, but it will give me an idea of the drive. Thank you for your input. Jim
Hey Casey, would you be willing to give some stats/review on your ecodiesel? How many KM's you have on it now and have you had any issues (major or minor). I just bought my first Jeep and it's a 2021 Wrangler Sahara ecodiesel. Hoping it's life spans the same as my 82' TLC that went well into the 450,xxx km range before the frame rusted too far gone. From a fellow BC Jeeper (new Jeeper anyway). Anyway, love your videos! Keep em coming! Thanks for all your content! It's pretty Rad!
Never understood why people like high-revving V8's in something like a Jeep. Have to rev it up for off-road, guzzles gas like no tomorrow, and still doesn't make the Jeep that fast compared to most other cars. Even if the 392 was cheaper, the diesel still the way to go.
Sorry you can’t afford one. Because nothing you said here is either true or makes much sense when we’re talking about off roading with rigs running 37-40” tires, gas mileage isn’t their big priority here . High revving? 6500rpm bud, if that’s an issue for you then you must hate most Jeeps that run the V6. And not fast? It’s on 35’s and runs 12’s, yea it’s faster than most vehicles on the road. Everyone has their preference, but you’re clearly in denial
The point of a v8 in a jeep is for more torque and to have lots of available power to make it over obstacles. Also I don’t think anyone buys a jeep for its gas mileage (I get 16-18mpg with the 2.0 turbo which I’m sure is fairly close to what the 392 gets)
Modern v8s have plenty of low end torque while retaining a broader power band than a diesel. The higher rpm power is useful to produce wheel speed required for sand and mud. Additionally, V8s don’t require complex emissions equipment and can idle for hours without worry.
Quick question for you Casey. Do you use any fuel additive in your Ecodiesel? Every search I’ve done turns up different answers and I’m taking delivery of my diesel JL tomorrow
@@AustinH7 Ya your right but it was December and cold when we ran it. Whatever that is in that water it's rust city. Nothing that 3 cans of black rustolum can't handle. 🤣
I’m looking at a 3.0 litre eco diesel rubicon currently. Out if everything I have read it seems like a solid engine. I’m coming from a Ram 1500 and getting 18L/100km so I’m desperate for better mileage.
Either way, better mileage, with more expensive diesel. Or,less cost, per tank, but, terrible gas mileage. Face it. You play, you pay, at this Moment. This is money, you pee AWAY. Hope it loser's by summer.
@@Casey250 Okay, Fair enough. However, it was the title that got my attention as I just picked up an Eco Diesel Rubicon a few weeks ago. And as I enjoy your channel, I was concerned that something was amiss in my decision. Not so I see. Cheers Brother. Hope to meet you on a trail some day.
Good Times! Can't wait for the next adventure together and thanks for bringing the 392 back!
It wasn't an easy decision! 😅😅😅
The 2dr JL is absolutely awesome!
I love these videos where all my favorite UA-camrs get together. It's like a Marvel Avengers movie.
Lol they are fun to make too

Put the derringer and pedal monster on the eco diesel and you’ll be close to the 392 and still have good MPG
That test drive with today’s gas prices cost about a hundred bucks 😁
Lol. Can't put a price on smiles per miles.

Brad ain’t getting anywhere near 20mpg like the diesel is getting. Even more with def delete
Hes getting 16mpg. Im getting 19mpg and paying 15 to 20% more per gallon plus DEF 🤷♂️
Doesn’t he need premium? Premium is more than diesel here in murica at least.
@@Robstunner In his Bronco it would it perform better and slightly better MPG than the 85 grade. Jeep ???
Wat?
So it sounds like they are pretty similar cost wise to drive. Good to know. Thanks!

Sorry to ask, I’m sure you have answered this question before. What is the ring & pinon ratio you are running in your 2020 ecodiesel rubicon?
3.73:1 which is stock in all ecodiesel

Nope
I have an eco diesel as well and don't plan on using additive, but I only use Diesel #2. I'd stay away from bio diesel unless you have no choice.
V8 power!
Being UA-camrs you usually talk good of most products. Shaun talked positive of his Bronco but I thought I noted a. bit of sarcasm.
I think the lack of after market parts has been the biggest frustration.
@@Casey250 Fair enough, we're all coping that issue. Who ever comes out with a D44/60 replacement for the Bronco IFS will save the Bronco.
