Also keep in mind, when Terry finds Bruce in the Batcave and sees the "Ha-Ha" everywhere, its not paint. Its actually supposed to be Bruce's blood. Or at least, that's what it was implying. In the censored version, its purple paint all over the place.
It's also a dark call-back to when Terry finds his father dead, with "HA HA HA" graffiti all over the place. Bro is probably having the worst sort of flashback in that moment.
@@baronroy2012 oh yeah, that's right. I almost forgotten that little detail. Now thinking back on it, that's really ironic and twisted form of foreshadowing. Cleaver though!
Even though the censored version of Joker's death is more horrifying, the uncensored is still my favorite. It's fitting that a villain that prided himself on showmanship and theatrics dies in such a mundane way. Also the resson why Old Man Bruce walks wirh a cane in Batman Beyond is because of Joker stabbing Batman in his knee
@@Scrap1240 you watched the uncensored version. Just look up the censored version here on UA-cam. Bruce Timm and Paul Dini had a habit of getting stuff rejected by the censors at WB and made the censored version of their work more horrifying because it leaves a lot to the imagination. The censored death is a prime example of that.
I love this movie. The voice actor of Old Tim Drake is the late Great Dean Stockwell from Quantum Leap, may he RIP. He played Al Calavici in the Quantum Leap series.
Terry's gone through some trials and challenges, but this had to be the biggest one for him. The Joker is no joke (pun not intended), even Bruce tried to warn him of that, and this movie showed why Joke had the most influence and damage on Bruce throughout his years as Batman.
I remember owning the movie on VHS back in the day. Used to watch it all the time. What I didn't know at the time was that the version I owned was the rated version. I didn't know that the PG-13 version was the real version. Looking back on it, I saw both versions and saw all of the differences. Best example is how The Joker died. In the cut version, Tim pushes Joker and he gets shocked to death off screen when he accidently slips on some water. But here, Tim shoots him instead.
Almost no on talks about how when batman threw the knife he went for the kill shot just no hesitation just straight up tried to kill him and that's what the joker wants it's what he's always wanted and he gets his wish but not in the way he was expecting
I feel like Terry has grown up since we last saw him I can't believe I'm saying this but he's a better Batman than Bruce was and we're talking about a punk teenager
How so? His suit is definitely better but at this point and time he’s still beneath Bruce in almost every area. The only thing this movie proves is that Terry is definitely worthy of continuing the legacy of Batman in his own unique way. Even Waller admits to a more seasoned Terry that he doesn’t possess Bruce’s intellect.
I saw the uncencored version on cartoon network as a kid guessing this only happens in the US. Because any other network I saw. The movie it was the uncencored one I know because joker dies from the point stick gun.
Hey glad you enjoyed the movie and like I said I knew because of the movie you would think Terry is Batman. Here is a bonus there is another version of Tim killing the joker Which is the one I saw first without knowing there was another version. Robin kills joker censored This version is more surprising.
When it comes to the prologue of the movie, the writers wanted to show it's been almost 2 years since Terry became Batman, by how much it's light-work for him to deal with the usual thugs. Beyond the few Terry scenes that happen in Justice League, this movie is meant to be the conclusion to Batman Beyond.
shame this was one of last times Kevin Conroy will end up voicing Batman because of bad health which killed him so now after 30 years they stopped making animated batman films.
@@Scrap1240 sure he also voiced Optimus prime in transformers tv series and first 3 live action transformers films and in 1986 animated transformers film. As well voice of Batman in games for 30 years up intel he died from cancer.
@@mikejohnson8391 No? Peter Cullen is the voice of Optimus Prime. A completely different person who is currently alive and well. Who told you they had the same voice actor? On an unrelated note, this movie was FAR from the last time Kevin Conroy voiced Batman. He went on to voice the character for nearly 20 more years after this.
Here good shock other in justice league or justice league unlimited tv series has episode which takes place approximately 20 years after this film if see it will say has few surprises what they are need watch episode.

@@solblackguy I was about to say I thought I did lol. I will definitely check that out
Loved Terry vs Joker it shows how similar yet different he is from Bruce.
facts, joker didnt like how he was talking back to him lol
Terry is basically Jason Todd if Death in the Family never happened
@@solblackguy I don't think he's that intense. Jason tended to borderline enjoy inflicting pain.
I laughed at the reveal that the Dee Dee Twins are Harley’s granddaughters.
Yeah I was shock myself lol
The uncensored version was always the best version of Return of the Joker.
The censored version is alright. Joker slipping to his death feels fitting for a clown.
Those twins were giving Terry the business! Like they out hands on that man!
Facts, they was beating him up
