But if you're playing other people who are also playing the PS5 version what's the problem isn't that just having to learn new mechanics which is basically what we do every FIFA i don't see the drama you're giving people an excuse who cannot adapt to the new controller it's all about time and consistency
Yh but just Bcz you’re playing someone with the same gameplay that doesn’t mean it’s still not slower and harder to attack Bcz it’s not as snappy and responsive
Rtgs and fifa content in general won't be a thing in a decade because it is well and truely on it's last legs, there is simply nothing new or any different approaches you can take to anything to spice it up.
Not sure what people are complaining about, each fifa feels different and you just have to adapt each year. I’ve had no real issues with gameplay, you just get used to it. Was elite Division last season, rank 2 champs every week with a slightly above average team

Hi Nep! Thanks for the video!! A few points I've noticed from FIFA 22:
As a possession-based player who was in a high Division last year, the slower-paced and clunky gameplay has made it a lot more difficult to break down defensive teams who get numbers back. After going back to FIFA 21, the faster movements in that game make it easier to break down a packed defense and midfield.
Also with defending on FIFA 22, counter-attacks are very difficult to defend against. This is because a counter is often a 1 v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 3. Once one of my defenders jockeys one way, they get stuck and cannot move in the opposite direction. With a packed defense this problem is strongly negated as there are numbers in the box to cover a defender that almost gets stuck after jockeying in one direction.
I'm really struggling to understand how the PS4 version is better. I moved from PC (oldgen like ps4) to the PS5 and I have been playing way better and I love the gameplay.
This seems like people just want less animations so they can have unrealistic shots and touches, and to be able to come up against easier opponents since there's a higher chance of finding worse players on a more populated platform. No hate, I watch all the vids Nep.
That's exactly what it is. They want to be able to abuse mechanics better and get easier wins against a larger, worse player base.

Dont get me wrong im an angry fifa player and believe in scripting .. i rage scream & shout but i sorted my tactics out the other day and im up in elite giving everyone good games think ive sussed this fifa now & am way calmer playing.. BUT champs is pure aids as always .. also i agree with your point ive had a mixture of gameplay but it is what it is .. im learning and getting better from playing harder opponents
You don’t need these extra animation it’s dumb, if I want to make a pass make it if I want to shoot then shoot, it’s a game I don’t need every aspect to be realistic. Especially when the servers are disgusting these extra animation that don’t make sense just make the game a chore to play. You literally have to ball roll to pass decently it’s that slow.

I've had the ps5 for over a year, so I had a choice to play on either version for this fifa. I played a couple of games on the ps5 version, didn't like the game-play and switched to the ps4 version from the 1st week and haven't looked back since. I get that most people bought the ps5 to play an improvement version of the game but the only improvements I noticed were the aesthetic ones, which I could care less for.
PS4 v PS5 I feel there is a MASSIVE difference.
I’m not the greatest player but was managing alternate wins and losses on the PS4 in division 2.
The season reset came as I moved onto the PS5 and I no longer have the PS4.
I have played over 50 games on the PS5 (in division 4 after the season reset) and have gone from winning 1 in 2, to only 3 games out of 50+.
I’ve tried changing so many things, formation, tactics, even my team, and I can not get back to the level I seemed to be at on PS4.
I feel like I’m going to have to wait for the season to re-set again before I will be able to play, and have stopped playing the game because of this.

October was a great month for me, div 1 rank 2 and really enjoying the game. Roll on November and I can’t string a few wins together, I think a lot of that has to be the reset in divisions and high level players being put in the same division so it’s harder to win, however the gameplay feels awful and I’m really not enjoying the game. How can that just change all of a sudden??

he was getting shit on on PS5 so he's gone to play bots on PS4, he obviously doesn't want to challenge himself that's fine.... just be honest about it though - hyper technology is for both players in a game on PS5.... fair playing field.
It's not it's a ea ways of making the gap between meta and none meta bigger extending the gap between the causal and hardcore player base making mbappe in literally unstoppable while guys like kane play like they're from a different century
Ive noticed the samething, evidence to back this up was his draft record on draft to glory when he was playing on ps5
He literally said some of it was about losing on the draft so he did admit it.🤦🤦🤦 but he is right the only positive thing about the PS5 version is the menu speed. The gameplay is so much better on the PS4 he's speaking facts.

About 4-5 days ago I was playing playing 100% of my games on the PS5 version of Fifa.Then I played cöop with my friend on the PS4 version and I was enjoying it so much more then the PS5 version.I am playing in the Elite division on PS5 and I was struggling to win games.Then i played the PS4 version and I went like 20 games unbeaten.The games feels so much smoother and it’s more enjoyable.My players are making so much wrong decisions and touches on the PS5 version.I agree with you 100%
Ive been playing on p5 since the beginning of fut and today i decided to play p4 and place a wager and i completely got shit on, total different gameplay

It's interesting, since watching your streams, I decided to try to play on the PS4 version and I just can't do it. Passes are much worse, players fail to control the ball when normally they'd be fine in the PS5 version, dribbling was harder, I was mistiming shots. For me at least playing on PS5 is just SO MUCH better. Might be simply because I'm used to it though, I don't know

Only way to fix fut is for them to offer a player progression system. Then you can grind bronze/silver/gold players up to 99 if you play enough. Combat this with removing the transfer market so EA can still sell loads of packs for players who refuse to grind. Promo's still work since you can get a higher rated player without the hassle of grinding. Combat the transfer market removal with sbc's for specific players so you can still get who you want.

Hi Nep, just went away and switched to ps4 version. I have been in div1 rank 3 for the past couple of days, struggling to get to rank two. In the space of about 1.5-2 hours I managed to get up to the elite division. I firmly agree that the PS5 version has unnecessary extra animations that ruin the run of play. So far this year I’ve achieved rank 1 twice, on the ps5. I’ll personally be sticking to the ps4 version now, thanks Nep!
I bought my ps5 last weekend and i moved over from Xbox. I have been losing a lot more games on ps5 than Xbox but I’ve just put that down to still adapting to ps5. Despite losing, the gameplay feels very smooth. Lots of my driven passes are very accurate even when switching right through the centre of the field from LB to RW. The only thing that I’m struggling with is defending and that is costing me. Haven’t had too many noteable gameplay issues so far
I was playing really good in october, then november started and I can't even qualify for champs 😂 and yes, ps5 version is just so annoying
i’ve seen a lot of people say this but i don’t understand it, the gameplay hasn’t changed that drastically to me? if anything i’m winning more games in elite than i was in october

Completely agree nep. I played the PS5 version for a couple of games and went ack to the PS4 version as it was just unrealistic.
While there is the optionality to play the PS4 version, players should always play that as is what they know.
Until its forced to play the PS5 version, i wont be playing a game which doesnt play like a football game.

On my ps5 version for some reason it turned off my timed finishing in the settings after an update. I had to manually put it back on

Nep, have you thought about running a weekend with players earns through gameplay. When I say that I mean cards like oxford, fellaini, red picks, silver stars, icon swaps. Maybe even a mini series or a background one throughout the year showing what you can do only getting the ‘free’ cards

I think that those league player cards are good but ea don’t want to make them too OP. If rivals gets boring then I will grind for them as it’s an unreadable card for either swaps or an sbc. Last year cards like gravenberch and van Bergen were worth the grind. Hopefully ea bring out cards like that.

Bronze pack method exploded today from the Daily SBC! Was down about 200k liquid, doing BPM/League SBCs, but I was keeping all bronze rares. Sold my major nation bronze rares today and made all of my coins back + some, and I’m 5/7 done on Salah.
I have ultimate so I can play on both but PS4 feels way better, idk why ps5 version feels so slow and just generally bad

Half way through video , I don't understand why people believe there's more good players on ps5 . I'm sure a lot of the really good players like myself , have struggled with even getting their hands on a ps5 . I can't be the only one . Every fifa I'm top level elite 2+ in WL and high skill rating in previous fifas. This year on ps4 I've played countless verified Elite 1 level players , although I understand that the pros will be on ps5 , but that's a very small group of people . Very good players on both consoles . I don't think you can really tell which console has the better players
I’ve played the PS5 version for 5 weeks and struggled to qualify in all of them like 5 and 4 most weeks…played the PS4 version in the last 2 weeks because Was crashing and freezing during games. Won 5 of the first games in qualifying last week and 4 today…it’s so much easier. Also in div 1 in rivals and would win 1 lose 1 on ps5 and won 3 in a row today on PS4. It honestly feels like there’s no ELO on PS5, you can lose a game and the next game the player will be even better than the last one. got 3 8/12 on ps5 and scraped one 12/8 and didn’t qualify for the first wl. Got 12/8 on PS4 last weekend but gave away a few wins and did it comfortably.
Ps5 is way harder .. all the proper gamers & ttv twitch streamers & youtubers are on the ps5 .. and thats a lot more then you think.. and them being away from the ps4 version means your much more likely to match a bad player on ps4 not that hard to work out really so its a very valid point ps5 is pure sweat fest

The players are just making weird moves all by themselves when on the ball. This game has been ruined by the patches really. Again it feels like you are having to really fight with the left stick to control the players properly.
bit annoying that you needed to have bought the ultimate edition to play ps4 version, basically had no reason to get it other than the extra packs or whatever, had early access with the trial and thats all i needed.

Amazing how youtubers are not mentioning that the game is unplayable, its always its bad and so on, on PC its impossible to play if you any good at all, every single part of the game with some skill involved is removed when it takes 14 minutes for a skill or first touch to even happen on the screen. "this guy is playing so weird" No he is not playing weird, what is happening is he cannot control his players, it takes 2 seconds to register hos movement. When i win a game its pretty much never because i was good, it is because i did not have as much delay as my opponent.

It seems really out of touch when you get mad at people not instantly skipping after scoring a goal. As if everyone is in the same situation as you where they can sit and solely focus on just playing fifa. As for myself I play fifa in the little down time I have and usually I have to use that time to have my breakfast and sometimes when my players are celebrating is the time I use to also eat my breakfast or do other things. So, as a representative of people who watch their celebrations, just know it isn’t to trigger the opposition.

When you see your opponent standing still or not playing it’s probably because they’re lagging and their screen is frozen. It happens all the time when your internet is less than 100mb/s

I've switched to PS5 the main difference for me is how far back the attackers get and the new player instructions don't really work on PS4 I tried the free roam on cdm and the cdm would just bomb forward as soon as I got the ball on ps5 the cdm is more patient in joining the attack which makes the instruction actually usable also the cameras are different on the PS4 I had to use co-op since tele broadcast was too slow following the play on the ps5 I can use tele broadcast the camera seems to move a lot quicker to follow the play

I dont play on playstation but i play on xbox 1 and my gameplay is good no extra touches none of those type of glitches i did come across opponents with icons who mid game just glide like their on ice

Nep when u say animations what u really mean is scripting. That’s what they’ve added to cover themselves. The same as the yellow and red icons at the top of the screen . I’m going to put up some videos later I got while on my sons game and it’ll show the scripting. Passes not going where I’m directing. Yellow cards , red cards, goalkeepers doing nothing. it’s absolutely disgusting.

Worth me having a ps5 when all I play is fifa or just stick with my PS4?
I watch a lot of tv and sports using my ps5. I have a lot of streaming apps on it, so I use it almost as a media centre because I prefer that to using a pc.
Other then that if you're not gaming at all it might not be worth it. But I honestly love the ps5, even if I don't have the time to game as much anymore
I literally uninstalled the ps5 version the first day the game came out. I was top200 player last year on xbox and this year i couldn´t pass the ball, couldn´t do any skills just the game was so much worse than the ps4 version...

Exactly. The new animations are there to make the game more realistic, which is the literal point of video games. Instead of mashing the sprint button anyhow, you have to accommodate for animation and player physics more. Simple. Watch football and try replicating what you see in the game
