50m troops, the difference is too big if the tech and troop tiers are the same and only difference might be a heros skills, it won't matter if the heros aren't straight up gather heros or something would be hard for 20m to beat 50m face value just too overwhelming
depends what you're using Tom for. if garrison, Tom + thunder or Louis. depending on how heavy you're being hit. If Field, adut + tom is pretty good. or Tom + thunder/eddie/raigoro and just tank and play counter dmg

the real question is how much do you have to spend to be a competent player? not everyone has deep pockets-- arguably, why get a stronger new hero if you cannot awaken them or get them to where they should be? same thing with armaments. at some point, don't you reach a level where it's just armaments vs armaments? or..whales vs whales playing counter-hero vs hero
Well competence dosnt really come down to spend level you can easily be an incompetent whale just spent alot dont know what tour doing, I spend very very minimal I've just invested alot of time to get to my point and I can get results close to mid spenders or better results regularly (I am fortunate given my size/circumstances) and your right it does come down to armaments alot be it tower fights field fights or size expansions or commander equipment but there are always ways to close the gap or play around gaps by playing in a way that the enemy's not playing to their best advantage, also if my best hero has 1m might the enemy has heros with 5m might and we don't have any whales for tower duty I just don't show up, if I see a whale I gather a group and we pick them apart in numbers alot of it comes down to playing smart, you can also reduce louis aoe damage with 1 troop marches that dosnt take extra money just using your brain to take the best of trades
Also alot of people watching aren't whales and aren't doing hero combos to directly counter whales and even then if your a whale having hero combos that can senergizeze compared to a whale who dosnt know what they're doing and sends only shtty pairs that can make or break a difference in fights so it is significant to recognize what your sending on the field otherwise you'd see all whales just spamming random marches

@cremion just dont run hank, not worth it wasted investment raigro could be a few possible combos you could run raigro martin, which I prefer over tom martin as not to have wasted healing, that or raigro charlie so hes an inf heros who also rage boosting so dropping more skills, or raigro Alex in this case using a tank as a buffer hero with Alexander just avoid having him die too fast
