Nettle’s character has such significance for a full understanding of the civil war. After her first battle she is absolutely horrified by the cruelty and mass violence. She provides the most interior regular folk perspective that is so central to one of ASOIAF’s most predominant political lessons: when the elite go to war it’s the common people who suffer the greatest.
Merging her with Rhaena who has her own struggles and interiority would be a shame. The writers could expand Rhaena’s character without this change in my opinion. Great video!

What? Rhaena is the daughter of Daemon,will he a love affair with his daughter just like he has with Nettles?
@@MrVictor1227good question, I predict that’s one part of the Nettles storyline that’ll be sidelined in the merge.

Olivia Cooke mentioned Daeron in an interview. "And there's a Daeron, who we did not mention in season 1, but he does exist, apparently." That leads me to believe that he will at least be mentioned in season 2.

There's no way they're cutting Nettles. She's too important, and too popular. Daeron is getting cut before her.
I believe Ryan Condal was interviewed about him and said that fans shouldn't fret and they're aware of Daerons part in the story
Rhaena does fuck all in this conflict but she takes nettles storyline away while we don’t get to see Daeron or probably get to see any characterization for Helaena.
My guess is they think the inclusion of Nettles might confuse the casual fans with a non-Valyrian riding a dragon? Which I guess is a fair concern considering we still don’t know exactly how dragon riding works. But it will still be a bummer if this is true
Adam velayron is gonna ride seasmoke tho and in the show he doesn’t have any Valyrian features
Hugh hammer or ulf the white also are not valyrian.
Neither of Rhaenyra's kids have Valyrian features, Jon also doesn't have any, how dumb can people really be?
@@Caramelo23606 we still know who there parents/grandprents/…parents are. We have no idea who Nettles’s are. Tbf, no one knows why she can ride a dragon, so I’m not sure it’s really any “stupidity.” Choices need to be made in adaptations, and I can see that being a choice
God god this trailer went hard. Why does Cregan and Jace look like brothers? Rheanyra and Aegon both look broken

I wish they don't change it the story about Nettles and Rhaena. The hatching of Morning is one of the significant events that happened in the last months of the war. It could also provide some kind of false hope to the events.
That scene in the beginning with a person walking toward the throne looked like Viserys, I know he is dead but if it is a flash back it could be theoretically possible

I just think that almost 200 years before the main series, the red keep SHOULD be more red. I know sunlight makes things fade, but for it to be just as drained of color 2 generations after it was made as it was in the main series is a problem to me.
I always loved the thought of nettles being either from a high-class dragon lord house that barely escaped the doom but lost all their dragons then had to assimilate with the people of essos.
I haven't read for pleasure in like 3 years because I've been working on my PhD, but this livestream has finally made me so curious about what's to come that I'm finally going to stop procrastinating on reading Fire and Blood. I NEED to know what Blood and Cheese is IMMEDIATELY. So thanks for helping me break my reading block, Quinn!

I'm assuming a schism will take place within the Green faction where Otto and Alicent advocate for diplomacy, augmenting their forces with greater houses before confronting The Blacks, while Aegon and Aemond, being the impatient, immature kids they are, want to go full throttle and attack their enemies as soon as possible.
I’d like to see the wall and the nights watch well-manned and functioning effectively.

Is the green queen a background character? Not the Dowager Queen on the Greens’ side. In all these trailers we might get a blink and you’ll miss it moment with her in it. We get Daemon. We get Rhaenyra. We get Aemond. We get Alicent. We get Aegon. We get Rhaenys. Isn’t there one other member of the divided Targaryen Royal family with an Actor/Actress? What’s with the shade thrown at arguably the first biggest casualty in the war

It does something the Game of Thrones show didn't do much and really showcases the diversity of heraldry in a fedual army as in ASOIAF. With at least three relatively minor houses being seen here (Rosby, Stokeworth and Darklyn). GOT really only made major houses or specific named characters distinct looking, otherwise all the army of a any house seemed mostly identical (like Westermen and Northmen were obviously different. But You couldn't really tell any house other than Lannister and Stark (Boltons were somewhat unique as well I suppose).
29:20 Perhaps it is Larra Rogare? I agree that the Gullet is probably not in this season but perhaps the showrunners want to introduce Lys/the Rogares/the Triachy first in this season and spend some scenes with them so the later events won't come out of nowhere.
