    The last chemical is also the most important. Called a drying agent…. It helps the blowers push the water off the car. Also ads a nice shine and will help with rain for a few weeks. It’s the most expensive chemical in the entire wash with tire shine right below it. That car wash is gorgeous. Lot of money inside there. Wow! Ironically I hand wash my cars but tunnel wash my truck. I can’t imagine the cars that that place washes in a day.

      @@THEMOWERMEDIC1 going through a car wash like this scratches clear coat and paint. People who hand wash correctly usually heavily rinse off their car to remove all dirt and debris to prevent scratching. Those brushes in the automated car wash probably wash about 200 cars daily that are not heavily rinsed before being scrubbed. That just makes it all the worse.

    They don't allow tractor-trailers. No big rigs to worry about. Cars, vans, pickups, RVs, and buses only.
    Largest rest rooms around. And the cleanest. They have many handicapped stalls.
    Their fountain drinks come in several sizes and are inexpensive. The coffee bar has many flavorings. Hot chocolate is delicious.
    We have gone through carwash in Katy, TX several times on a Monday morning around 10:30. Little or no wait.
    They are breaking ground November 2022 for the largest one ever in Lulling, TX. It's supposed to open sometime in 2023. It's replacing the current store.

    Always wash the car in the driveway, during the Summer and use a spray on ceramic wax. But, we could definitely use a place like that during Winter to remove salt. Currently, in the Winter will go to a quarter car wash to get salt off the car and under carriage if we get a lot of snow.
    Definitely recognized your vehicle as the same as mine, Ford Edge.

      Fluid film is your friend. I never go to a car wash right when the temp goes over 40 Degrees. Everyone and their mother goes to wash their car and they reuse water which doesn’t have the residual salt filtered out. Effectively you’re giving your car a warm salt bath.

It would probably slow drivers down a bit too. Not sure what they would do with all the foam, though. Maybe make a huge kids park with foam cannons for the kids to squirt each other with.

    • @emed1977
      @emed1977 Рік тому

      What are you talking about? pH-neutral car shampoos will not damage your car's paint, or the Ceramic Coating protecting your car's paint. The same applies if you are using any different kind of paint protection like automotive wax, polymer sealants, or paint protection film. The surfactants in the soap will emulsify and lift the dirt, it doesn’t have to be acidic or alkaline for normal cleaning. Those products that are either lower or higher in the pH scale have their place, but not for everyday cleaning. The quality of tunnel car washes can vary GREATLY, but generally they will scratch your car.

    No car wash you drive through is good for your paint so break out the compound and buffer and go to work…brushless is better with the right soaps
