I have taken the O.S. exam recently at University. My book was so full of details that it was hard to achieve an overall view of the topics. Your tutorial is so easy to understand . Thank you very much
My textbook from my Operating Systems class didn't explain memory manager well. You broke up everything with great detail. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this video.
Great tutorial. I was sitting in my lecture for Operating systems and missed a lot of what the lecturer said due to noisy people that were talking. This has cleared it up for me!
I really wish my instructor had listed your videos first in our required reading for this week. It was a desperate struggle to get through the notes and powerpoint he provided, but you videos were SO clear and easy to understand. Thank you SO much for providing these tutorials. I was wondering is there a specific name for the combined demand paging and segmented allocation methods?
My prof taught me that, while best fit night seem better, it's not. First, it takes memory and processing power to implement. Second, every time a process is not a perfect fit for the slot it's being put into, a tiny bit of storage is left unused. Over time, this leaves memory packed with tiny gaps, all too small to use. Studies have shown that these gaps add up so much, that it's actually worse than first fit
You probably dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf these days xD
Thank you Sean Ive just started learning computer science , your visuals are fantastic. They make everything seem clearer and easier to understand for me
Thank you so much 👍👍I understand about this topic when I watch this video at first time...also your teaching and your speech is very understandable.again thanks..so kind of you.🙏🙏
AWESOME; AWESOME; AWESOME!!! Your explanations are easily understood. Thank you so very much for making this tutorial..!! Wish you all the best in your next projects. You are the best!
I would like to see this topic (Memory Manager) more deeply. Too much information managed to fit well and clear in this video, that could be explained in more details in a part 2. You announced that you concluded the Operating Systems episode, but is it possible to make a part 2 about this specific topic? Thanks for your videos.
One thing I'd love to understand, that's whether the segmentation uses pages or is actually a complete new way of splitting jobs where each segment has the exact space for each job?
Great one, its give me a general knowledge about paging in operation system! Hope that you can make a Tutorial more insight for those paging and segment algorithm ^^
thank u.. this is really helpful I will be really pleased if u clarify my doubt. are we using dynamic memory partition in paging??? in a computer can we use both paging and segmentation or only 1? does os controls only main memory or it can also control secondary memory?
@openCanvas thanks alot sir .. its really helpful . if you could give a tree diagram summery or jus summery it would b too easy to sort and understand better :)
Why don't you just store the programs with there first page frame in a table, and the states in a seperate one? A page frame could have informations for the next in it's start or end...
